Stay away from this company, they try to say they "are all about the driver" and that is complete BS and the lack of communication in this company is pathetic. The drivers have to hold for hours on end just to get through to a live person on the phone and the misinformation that comes from their Human Resource department is very much less than acceptable. Heaven forbid you do the right thing when you resign, such as giving them a 2 week notice and make sure your truck is cleaner than when you were assigned to it. Because for those 2 weeks (if you can tolerate it that long) they treat you like crap, lie to you, and then expect you to "get on a bus home- which after being told that you find out they never booked you a ticket) As an employee for this company you have tried to promote them as the best company you could choose, although it is not uncommon for you to have spend many hours looking for an empty trailer. Get loads assigned to you and later pulled from you and assigned a new load with alot fewer miles. This company really needs to go back and think about the way they treat their drivers and consider the long hours, extensive amount of sitting, many miles they drive, and countless hours away from their family that they spend to earn a living while the personnel in the office who get to go home to their families every night cannot even give out the correct information.

I mean US Xpress isn't the best, but would anyone expect them to buy a bus ticket home for a driver that just quit?
JoeyJunk, Boondock, Veteran driver and 1 other person Thank this. -
Bought my ticket home from US xpress and metlon. I started driving with us xpress in 2008 mike chadwick was my fleet manager. I ran 3000+ a week and loved the job. Quit because i went dedicated to dollar tree and Guaranteed home every weekend. But there dispatcher was a ### hat and would route you to Wisconsin when you lived in Kentucky. He got pissed when he routed me to northen Michigan and i started towards Kentucky and said I’m taking the scenic route that goes by my house for the weekend.

Why is it always expected for the company to get the person home after they quit?
Trucker61016, JoeyJunk and ZVar Thank this. -
Instead of getting the leftovers that us express didn't want,
You should have went to work for us express themselves.
Always have your own vehicle parked where you
Picked your truck up.
Even if you have to buy a 1500 dollar beater.
You could quit or be fired at anytime.
Either way, you have to find your own way home.
And who in there right freaking mind wants ride a bus anywhere. -
Rugerfan, Voodoo Pyg, snowlauncher and 6 others Thank this.
