    What we've got is repeatable, and doesn't generally change, but I'm lucky enough to have never seen LA, although I was there, once, by car.
    The smog was bad during that visit.

    Traveling 80 in PA, there are places of lower population, and it will reach out to between 10 and 20 miles to find one large enough, not much help in figuring out where you're at to use a map, either.

    2) Yes, unless it is a non-compliant ELD.
    §395.30(c)(2) and §395.30(f)

    3) No, unless it is a non-compliant ELD.
    §395.26(b)(3)

    In other words, you aren't going to find what you're looking for no matter how hard you try...and if you do, it won't be compliant.

    There is a reason the location names appear as they do.

    Appendix A to Subpart B of Part 395
    Section 4.4.2.

    If the ELD records the location any other way, it is not compliant.
