What we've got is repeatable, and doesn't generally change, but I'm lucky enough to have never seen LA, although I was there, once, by car.
The smog was bad during that visit.
Traveling 80 in PA, there are places of lower population, and it will reach out to between 10 and 20 miles to find one large enough, not much help in figuring out where you're at to use a map, either.
