Vnl670 interior light question

2006 volvo vnl
Please forgive me if this is posted somewhere else. I looked but was unable to find the answer.
Im having issues with the map lights over the doors.
1 is off
2 is on but only when the door is closed... It turns off when i open the door.
3 is on open or closed.

How do I attempt to fix it so it works properly and 2 becomes on when the door is open and off when closed... Like it should be.

 

Both sides.... Close the door... Light turns on.. Open it... Turns off..

 

I found something else that i never noticed before... I had a ride along today. I have power locks...the passenger door locks itself when you hit the button... It will unlock and snap back shut....i have a feeling the issues are somehow related.

 

And what seems like spam?

 

So I'm guessing I'm alone with this issue?
Its starting to drive me a bit nuts.. .

 

So what happened? Some fool took the stuff apart and rewired it backwards?
I would not even know where to start to fix that..
