That's pretty cool. Those folks that are already in the Walmart network are going to get one hell of a first gig!

any current Walmart drivers want to confirm this? -
Certain DC have set routes and daycabs where drivers are home after 12hr shift.
I could be home daily or every other day if I lived closer to DC. I'm a country boy and live out in the woods not feasible to drive 2hr back and forthdrvrtech77 Thanks this. -
I knew desoto tx one was..but wasnt sure how many were like that..Coover Thanks this.

They are trying new things at certain locations to try to attract "New Talent" that normally wouldn't want to sleep in truck/otr.drvrtech77 Thanks this.

One question...the drivers they train, this will be their only trucking job. Not ever having a bad driving job like so many of us, I wonder if they'll really appreciate a good one?
Also, it used to be that when you were around a WM company truck you could feel fairly safe because it was being driven by someone with a lot of experience.
Now? Not so much.GoneButNotForgotten and lual Thank this. -
Good for the Walmart think tank to find and develop new ways to attract candidates to contribute on the logistics side.
Global domination doesn't come easy. -

My friend works drives for Walmart and he's on a 5 on 2 off or 5 on 3 off schedule. It may depend on the DC though.
