Many truck drivers wear compression socks. They just don't advertise it. I wore them for a short while due to leg pain. After the pain subsided, I quit wearing them.

I did a lot of stretching, walking and jump rope to increase circulation in the legs. It would be beneficial for him to incorporate at least some walking/stretching. I renewed my DOT physical and realized I was 240, no clue. After figuring out the retention issue and incorporating the above for some months I got back down to 215. I also watched the diet more, limited salt. Fluid retention is tricky. The socks aren't the ultimate solution.
