I was trying to put in an app a Roehl online, and the site said they had no openings in my zip code.
Talked to my school and they said they had prehires from Roehl. So I put in a paper app thru them.
Went back to the site and put in the zip adjacent to mine(89109) and they had jobs. Weird.

So if the site says they don't hire where you are, try putting in some zip codes from around you, cause they must not have them all programed in, probably just the major ones from a city. Also look at the fleet maps if the site says it is not hiring.

Or call and talk to a recruiter. I live 2 hrs away from where I pick my truck up. The recruiter said 14/7 was only available and that's where I'm at. Before Roehl I went on Werner website. It said it had 16 dedicated positions in my area. I called and they had 0. Plus 28 cents and mile compared with roehls 30 def a no go. Maybe western regional or national Idk you'd have to call. Hope this helps

Doesn't sound wierd. Sounds like the typical "bait and switch" routine.

"Oh, no, sorry...those 3200-mile weekly runs at .49 per mile are all taken...but we have a dedicated 1800-miler at .27 available for you...."

no Roehl isn't like that...more than likely its the fact that they don't have all the zip codes in the system...I would recommend calling a recruiter

That's good to hear. Stories of B&S are legion and far too common.

Yeah, my intention wasn't to try and put Roehl down, but to help somebody who may have had a similar problem that I had.

Also keep in mind that things change in this industry constantly. I'm not sure the amount of change can reach all aspects of the company like the website.

For example, the hiring area changes constantly to keep up with the freight demand. We didn't used to hire in CT but now we do. We didn't used to hire in Arizona and now we do. The company is growing as well as our customer base.

They may only offer one particular fleet in your area now, but that may change too.
