    I was expecting a decent refund from my student loan for this class session I'm taking. Looks like I might not get it.

    Phone is cut off and don't even have enough $$$ to take the written CDL test or gas to get there.

    School Finance folks say they made a mistake...

    I would sell my body but no one wants it.

    How can you get a "refund" from a loan that has yet to be repaid? I don't get it.

    The refund is the amount left over from the awarded loan after school expenses are taken out. Graduate students, such as myself, are considered independent and get a greater amount.

    They are my tax dollars, too. I'm enrolled in my last class. start paying the loans as early as March.

    There's a lot 'fishy' with this story, 166 posts and your still a student, not even finished with school? I went to a community college truck driving school, it was cheap, paid up front, 8 weeks long, then done. If your life really has turned to crap, then try a mega carriers CDL training program if you can't yet collect early social security.

    out of curiosity are you really expecting some one to pony up the money to save you? A white knight on some shining peterbuilt perhaps?
