Werner's fall from grace

Quite a load I am sure.... These cheap freight mega haulers make money even if someone works a week.

 

i heard us express does not pay well and and is a crappy company to work for, my uncle is a owner/op and thats where he started and said, im just asking tho

 

Werner , ever since i've know of them has never risen above the level of a bottom feeder company much less fallen from grace .

 

I was there back in 2002 and one thing that has not changed from what I can tell is the pay.But even if the pay was good that doesn't compensate for the very low miles OTR drivers get.

 

From what I see there really isn't an above the rest starter company.But I would pick one with less bad things said about them.

 

Werner has to save the bonuses and mega bucks for the big wheels there meanwhile the drivers are making peanuts,literally.What about the fabulous Ben Franklyn motel they put you in?The staff is as dumpy as the motel is.

 

That is why I said dedicated account...unless you would like OTR. Several of their dedicated accounts pay reasonable for a starter. The sad truth about being a new driver....you have to do what 99% of us did as newbies...drop pants...bend over... spread wide and hope they use lube for your first six months to a year

 

Werner...Swift..CRST...JB Hunt...all the same just switch the names

 

I though JB Hunt doesn't train new drivers? US Xpress is a great company for teams. For solos I heard it's only one notch above Werner, Swift, etc.

 

Yeah US Express called me about a good West dedicated team run that pays darn good out of the Dayton area... but sadly I hate the mountains and they sometimes cause me to have bad war dreams so I get little sleep. Out West in some places reminds me too much of Afghanistan and driving those mountains is like asking for an accident to happen.
