So I worked for Western Express for a little this month, Passed the flatbed school. Fast forward and skip over some of the BS I left the company rather quickly, now I'm trying to get my training pay from them and they won't pay it. They said I had to pull a load in order to get paid can they do that? Seems like a lot of bull its not like I failed and I'm trying to get the pay I passed and was given a truck!!!!

Why did you leave so quickly? Did you sign anything?
-
I left cause I was tired of getting the run around, I was assigned a truck than got told I had failed the road test and I got told road test again pass it or go home or trainer for 2 weeks than come back and road test again. I didn't even know I had failed the road test or why I failed. I wanted to just road test again so instead of just road testing again they sent me to backing class than asked me why I was there all day(after they sent me there). They also attempted for force dispatch me after I had placed the truck out of serve for a windshield and the headache rack was falling apart where the chains hung from (I sent the message over the qualcom after I had logged in under my username). Than I called my recruiter to let her know I was going home than all the sudden they wanted to give me a truck again without another road test or anything.

you should have got in truck and hauled freight, worked a year then app. at new co. like others have done in past.
slim shady and Chinatown Thank this. -
Cause driving a truck with a sliver dollar sized crack in the windshield and a chain rack that was falling off the truck that I wasn't allowed to operate, Sounds like a good idea can I have some more of your advice please????
-
once you are assigned your truck carry it to shop they fix or get in with co. on when it will be fixed. just walking off from job is a no pay deal.
-
I find it confusing that you were offered a truck even though they said you failed the road test.
-
I was assigned it than they took it back just as fast. Hell they didn't even tell me I was pulled from the truck they were ready to box all my stuff up.
-
I've walked away from other OTR/local companies and still gotten my check.
-
OK you must stay on them about the $ I mis/read your story at truck assignment time.
