What is IFTA?

    We're based out of FL and we get our fuel in FL, we travel into GA once every three months (to legally remain "Interstate", but all our fuel goes to our home state and we never pay out except whenever we've been late to get it done and got the $50 fee and that 1% for every month after the first one that we're late, but it's not that often we're late anyhow....I don't claim to know how it all works out, but I learned it quite by accident really, and it's been that way for almost five years now... thought I'd chime in case anyone else has experience with just fueling out of the state your company is based in.     You must file quarterly and pay for miles traveled. If you traveled 0 miles in ky that quarter you need not pay,but must still file to keep your kyu number active
