A new short wheelbase cabover going to have a 5th wheel or small body installed is my guess.

This is Freightliner Argosy. Seems to me with DD15 engine. Air intake is in Mercedes style, I belive air intake shares many parts with Actros. Yep, it is a trucktor, becouse there is frame enforcement for fifth wheel. It is not mixer ore box chassis.

They never stopped making them. For some reason I want to say somewhere in SC. Anyway, I occasionally see brand new ones being shipped out of Brunswick, GA which is a major port for vehicles, and in my case, where I pick up John Deere tractors made in Germany.

    SHC Thanks this.

Yup- new Argosy. I read that they're mounting the fifth wheel now in a frame crossmember and not as an attachment on top of the frame. Weight savings.

The Argosy is pretty popular here in New Zealand. Also sold in Australia and South Africa.

I used to drive argosy twice. I do not like its cab suspention design becouse truck runs not so smooth as european cabovers, so it would be good idea to use actroc cab suspention design. But I drow old Argosy, not new.
