The title pretty much is it.
    What makes Driver Friendly Freight?
Not what makes a Driver Friendly shipper or receiver, or even the Customer who pays the Freight bill.
But what makes driver Friendly Freight?
is it miles, dwell time, load or unload?
Maybe the Customer, Shipper or Receiver is linked.
Having courteous people, or restrooms? is that Driver Friendly Freight, or Driver Friendly Customers?
    Thanks

For us it is also drop and hook...light load in a trailer that pulls "True" and an open appointment on pickup and delivery. Driver friendly customers are hard to find but they do exist. We have found that Wal-Mart tends to be driver friendly, P&G can be a pain depending on location and Dollar General is a nightmare.

    Just my opinion!

Schneider has an exclusive drop and hook agreement with Walmart, which makes going there great in that instance. But ask anyone that has to live unload at Walmart DC's what they think about them LOL

When trucking companies put the phrase "Driver friendly freight" in their recruitment ad's...they are saying they will not force the driver to load/unload the freight. That is all. No other meanings as pertained to recruitment ad's.

More baloney. How many driver's would they get if they said, "driver UNfriendly freight". No matter what they tell you, you can bet you'll do some unfriendly freight, "Just this one time".:biggrin_25512:

your appt is a 9am, you get there at 5am and they are anxious to load you anyway (no walking 5mile to the shipper office, no standing behind a cage, they dont even ask for a pickup number, no talking into an intercom)

the guy say, there is coffee and the restroom the hall

you come out of the bathroom, have a friendly chat with the forkilft driver because has already finished loading you

you sign the bills, you brace your load and you are off

o yeah, the rate sheet said 35k and it only 5k

and on the other end,, NO LUMPERS and they unload you as soon as you arrive according to your scheduled delivery time, NO TWO FREE HOURS
