"When in anger, or in doubt,
run in circles, scream and shout!"

Go to the gym and blow off a little steam. Go to a firing range, (if you can afford it at ammo prices today...)

If you have any vacation time coming, take a few days, or a week.

There are lots of things you can do to relieve stress, that do NOT involve going home and beating the wife and kicking the dog!

OP, I've got a bit of a temper and one thing that works for me is audiobooks. Audible is probably the key to my sanity. I stay out 4 months at a time. When you get wrapped up in a good book, it keeps you from spending all day repeating how stupid this or that is and how much you can't stand this and that to yourself in your head. Negativity is toxic BUT it's also a matter of perception. We choose what we acknowledge....it doesn't choose us. Good luck

If your going to truck find a driving job you like. I can't drive on the highway anymore. Too many idiots after 35 yrs. So I drive local construction jobs. About 40 mile radius. Find other hobbies to do. Fish, drink :),horses whatever. The only time I even think about a truck is when I get in the #### thing. Good luck.

I think every driver gets in funky moods. It's a stressful industry just try to look at the positives. Ask urself wat would make u happy and start working towards that. Be it a local job, smaller otr company, or maybe a local job and night classes to start a new line of work

Move to a very rural area and get a job with a fuel company driving a tank wagon (bobtail tanker). You'll start at 5 or 6am and work about ten hours delivering fuel (mostly red diesel) to farms and vineyards. I did that for three years here in California. Best dang job ever. No traffic, no bs, just load your truck once or twice a day and deliver to 10-15 farms. Loved it. Unfortunately, I had to get get back into a big truck to make more money and drive an hour to work but hey... Being a dad is the happiest I've ever been. I don't get to see the family as much as I'd like but I'm home every night and when I'm out there I know that I'm taking care of them. Life is short dude stop what your doing every once in a while and look around- your lucky to be alive.

I drive 55mph, rather than truck maximum, for as long as it takes me to feel peaceful. It has a surprisingly small result in my arrival time. My truck max is 65mph. I never have to pass. Even when cars come over 3/8 inch in front of my bumper after passing me they seem to just zoom away, relatively speaking.

One Buddhist idea is there aren't really problems just bad expectations. If you just accept the things that are happening are not personal attacks from the universe or the idiots polluting it, they are just events, it might help.

I grew up in that business. Never heard of a bobtail fuel truck being called a "tank wagon." They were
    called fuel trucks.

We called the fuel wagons that farmers tow with a pickup truck to different fields "Tank Wagons" or sometimes "Trap Wagons". Most large agribusinesses now use their own service trucks to deliver fuel and oil to the tractors and water pumps out in the fields. They swap out the filters as well.

Too many people with diesel cars or pickups were stealing fuel out of the tank wagons, and the service trucks can remove the oil motor oil and replace with new oil, as well. The fuel is delivered by a tank truck and trailer to a large tank (10,000 gallons or more) at the farmers yard thus saving $$$ money and theft costs.

When I get too stressed out here or my anxiety and frustration reach epic levels I head home. Nothing like being with family and friends to help calm me down.

Usually I'll take mine or my wife's car to the track. Beat on it for a few hours to get all the ish out of my system. Then I'll head over to a buddies house and borrow his boat,.. or have him take it out and we spend the day fishing and drinking beer. Then I might head out and check the street car scene,.. or stay home and grill up some steaks. Then kick back and watch a movie with my wife. Maybe spend the next day with my wife doing flea markets and yard sales. Check out the swap meets for car parts. Maybe spend the day at the beach.

Life is too short to be angry and miserable. When things get too much, take some time off and just reset yourself. Be around supportive people and try to enjoy yourself. I can always find something to do to keep my mind at ease.
