Just got to Winter Haven, FL from Warden, WA.
3000 miles. 4 days, in a 65 MPH truck.
Left 0500 PST on 09/23 arrived 09/27 @ 0800 EST. Almost exactly 4 days.
Practically every single shift of driver managers pestered me about whether or not I would be on time. Had to explain at least 6 times that I don't chase my 70. I drive until I am out of hours to drive. Every day.
After 4 x @22 hour driving days, I started rolling @ 0130 EST today for the last 325 miles.
Now I have 3 days and 17 hours on my 70 to add to a 3000 mile week. If they get me a good load, I can break 4000 miles AND have a full day off this week.
But this load taught me that almost nobody in Crete driver management understands drivers that don't chase their 70.
Where's Everyone @?

Came across the last pass (headed east on I-80) before getting to Cheyenne today and it was snowing up there. Temps went from 47 at the bottom to 37 up top. Sitting in Sidney, NE tonight with rain and 50 degrees.
On my way from Prosser, WA to Brundidge, AL.carramrod32 and Shock Therapy Thank this. -
Moriarty NM. Deliver tomorrow morning in Albuquerque and then heading home. Exactly 11906 miles since I left home 24 days ago, running on recaps, no reset.
Time to relax a few days..carramrod32, Shock Therapy and Frank Speak Thank this. -
Heh. I was driving more than 11 hours per 24-hour day (on average). Legally.
If you drive your full 11 and take minimal time for breaks, fueling, and inspections, you can start a new driving day every @22 hours. 21.5, if you run continuous 8-2 splits.
All times in EST
Drive session 1 started @ 0800 EST
session 2 started @ 0600
session 3 started @ 0400
session 4 started @ 0200
session 5 started @ 0001 and ended @ 0600
Notice that I rolled back my start times every day for 4 days by 2 hours. That gave me an extra 8 hours to drive before the fourth calendar day ended. I did not run 8-2 splits. I don't like them unless they are absolutely required.carramrod32 Thanks this. -
To each his own. I wouldnt do that, but you're not me and I'm not you.

I fall squarely into the don't log more than 10 hours a day total (average). I VERY rarely do 34 resets. And, I generally always have at least 10-12 hours a day to run (exceptions here and there).
And, I average 12k a month (24-28 days out).Farmerbob1 Thanks this. -
Delivered onions from Prosser, WA in Brundidge, AL yesterday morning, then shot over to Tyler, AL and picked up a load headed to Portland, OR.

At home since last Monday afternoon. Receiver took 6 hours to unload, not amused

Will pick up a load on Monday in NM to OH.
Not really relaxing the time at home as I'm in the process of buying a house, hope everything will be done till I'm home next time. Then moving again, but in my own house!Vic Firth, G13Tomcat and Shock Therapy Thank this.
