Waited in Grand Island nearly 30 hours till my trailer was loaded
Ran overnight to Denver that my buddy can make the delivery on time on Monday morning.
Tired now...

 

Was at home yesterday. Today was closing date.
Finally homeowner
Moving is on Friday
Will be back on the road Dec 4th.

 

I got home late last night. Was supposed to pick up a load in Atlanta at 1700 yesterday. I called to see if it was ready (preload) and was told:

"That load is scheduled for 0200 tomorrow morning. But it probably won't be ready because we're closing at 2300."

Me - When are you coming back?

"Friday"

WTF? That doesn't even make sense I thought to myself.

Anyway, called my DM and was told "Just come on in deadhead".

 

Waiting on auto parts to take to the airport... Booked out until Monday night... $$$$$$$$$$$$

 

Unloading in Rialto, CA. Will be picking up a load going to somewhere in Oregon tonight, after I get some sleep.

 

Moved last Friday with a 26 ft U-Haul. Fortunately it was only about 90 miles. These trucks should be inspected by DOT, it's just a nightmare. Had two really professional moving helpers from Albuquerque, if anyone has to move in that area, shoot me a PM. They are worth the money!
Rented a U-Haul 12 x 6 trailer on Monday for the last stuff I had in the yard, didn't want to have all the bugs and spiders in the truck on Friday.
So much to do now at home, moving is always fun. I enjoy the quiet environment, no direct neighbors, property has 40 acres and there's just a gravel road, no traffic.
Now just waiting for the big win in the Lottery and time to retire

 

Shut down at a Freightliner service location in Gillette, WY so I can have BOTH windshields replaced in the AM.

Kamikaze owl hit me straight on. Between my speed and its, the collision was probably at about 100 miles an hour.

Left my new home Monday afternoon, picked up the same load as last time when I left, NM to OH.
At the receiver now, deliver in the morning, then picking up the same reload as last time back to Omaha.
With all the stress of buying the house and moving I totally missed that I got a pay raise in November, nice

 

We also moved. Movers are supposed to deliver our household goods tomorrow.

I’m going to go back to work Tuesday.
