Hi ttr! Love the site, im 26, healthy, no kids or wife, live in southern Georgia, i have my permit, i want to go otr, my driving record is clean, im thinking about cst or cfi. I dont want to go flatbed, any advice on why i should or shouldn't go with one of them, btw, i can afford private school, but why pay for it if im willing to go otr .....

Thanks. I can't afford private school. And these two pay for school. Im married 2 young kids live in NH. I have a cdl-b and looking to upgrade and start a new career. I would eventually like to do local or regional runs but most companies want minimum of 1 yr OTR so means to an end for now

Much better! Personally i say ignore the requirements and apply anyway. In person. Find a shop that runs both A and B trucks. There is no reason to go otr if you dont want to. Ort and local are 2 completely different animals.

    Which CFI?

I always think of the old Contract Freighters with the red KWs before they were bought by Con-way.

Roehl Transport is the only company that pays you to attend their school; $500.00 weekly, plus they have regional jobs. Don't know if you're in the hiring area, so call and ask. Keep us posted.
Which city/town are you near in NH?

Conway bought cfi. Xpo bought Conway. Xpo sold Conway truckload/xpo logistics/ cfi to a Canadian company, who has changed the name of the company back to cfi.
