Well, with that .97/mile, if you double your payments, you can have that truck be all yours after only 1 year!

    That's even better...lol

Ummm. That word PURCHASE. Doesn't happen. It's a scam to get UUUUU, the rental operator. In with the IRS. But hey. You're the rookie and us veterans have no clue what we're talking about. We'll be more then happy to sit by and watch yet another victim.

Estimate total costs to about $900/week based on a 2500 mile week. $1/mile pay average gross of $2500/week minus $900 operating costs, minus $1000/week for fuel leaves an average of $600/week to the bank and we haven't even talked about profit margins.

You can do over twice that as a company schmuck. Why would anyone do that?

"But Six, I want to own my own truck..."

There are much better lease programs than these. And like Mr Ridgeline alluded to, you really need o look at the operating contract that will bring out things like maintenance agreements, tire usage...etc. See, what you may not know is that some companies require you to run by their scheduled maintenance program in THEIR shops. Every time you pull into a shop, they can raid your maintenance account. Need new tires? Even though you pay for tires on a truck you're buying, you will not be able to get the tires you want, when you want. Most likely, they will pull you in to a terminal and install a set of tires they pulled off of a company truck YET charge you new tire prices. Are you cool with that?

10k a week is great. But at $1 a mile that's 10000 miles a week. You up for that?
