Why Even Ask?

Swear to God Six, if I ever bump into you out on the road, I'm going to buy all the adult beverages you care to cosume in thanks for that post alone. Were I to try and appropriately repay you for your collected shared wisdom and insight, I'm affraid I'd have to purchase the distillery of your preferred brand.

What kills me is when the person waits until a day before orientation to start asking the questions.

 

People sometimes need a club and a few knots to endure the lesson by doing the thing everyone told them not to go do. It's human nature in some.

 

It’s how beliefs are spread in the truckin industry.

Look at the current HOS regs. They were written by the Village Idiot for idiots. How about that stupid 30 minute break nonsense? Or the sleep apnea nonsense. Just because you are a certain size and weight, you have sleep apnea?

“Well, they’ve done studies...”

On who? Idiots? If they can’t walk and chew gum at the same time, you’re going to use them in a ‘scientific study’? Ever notice the number of people from universities asking for people to do a ‘survey’ for some reason? Everyone wants to be Jane Goodall of the transportation industry. That’s like taking notes in order to keep up with the Kardashians. Unless you plan on a career on either building a pair of bionic lips and fold back teeth, taking notes from them is absurd.

And the absolute amazing thing? Idiot will publicly say that he feels much safer since they outlawed chewing gum.

 

What kills me Are the ones that ask for advice AFTER they’ve screwed up.

Like the guy that turned in his notice and on his last day, he refuses a random drug test. Or the guy that abandons his truck because they didn’t honor his home time.

 

Preach it Six. I'm saved but there is a great unwashed out there in need of the True Gospel and you're the Prophet.
