They charged me 14.99 with my OOIDA discount.
I loved getting the green light at all the Florida ag stationsNavigatorWife Thanks this. -
With eld being enforced people no longer would be able to cheat on paperlogs. One of the reasons I would say that drivers don't want to get extra timestamp in their log, but now it probably doesn't matter anymore.
mhyn, ChicagoJohn and snowwy Thank this. -
For $14.99 a month you better believe it is worth it to me.
The only scale that it will not ever work at that I frequent is in Tennessee just north of the Alabama line on I-65. They weigh empty flatbeds at this scale. Every now and then a scale brings me in when I am right at 80,000 or 14,600 on my steer which I run legally most days. They weigh me and then I usually don’t get brought back in that scale again. Ky did this 2 days in a row and I haven’t been brought back in to weigh in over a year.
If you are heavy haul or oversized then it would be pointless to have. -
Why not? The last DOT level one I had was in 2015, can't they prescan and preselect the DOT# for a long overdue level 1 DOT inspection with it?
Someone might say, if you have everything in order you don't need to worry - well the Black Uniforms can always find some piece ### end loose...Last edited: Apr 2, 2018

They could. What they tend to do though is set the system to flag dot numbers that have a bad rating. Would rather spend limited resources on getting a company with bad practices off the road tham giving some driver a clean inspection bonus.TallJoe Thanks this.

Well ...I'll dare to ask: Even If I gotten myself the Prepass...can I use it selectively? Whenever I feel like entering on a scale ramp as anonymous...can I just shove it underneath my ### soon enough, so it would not transmit anything? LOL

So many places have cameras and recorders, there's very, very little to be gained, if anything.
I think the time saved, and the fuel, is worth it.
The time saved can be upwards of 20 minutes at just one scale.
If I had a pre 2000 truck, and was on paper, I might not use it.
Landstar it's $2.50 week. It more than pays for itself. -
No. I have mine in one of the overheads, it goes off everytime, unless the scale house has it shut off.
Sometimes they shut it off cause they want you to come in.
Sometimes because they are closed.TallJoe Thanks this. -
I'd better get it then.
