I put an Eaton Easy Pedal clutch in my truck. Then I bolted the transmission up to it. The throw out bearing is back against the clutch brake and not up near the fork. The clutch linkage and forks are correct. The bearing isn't hung. I can take a small pry and easily move the bearing forward. What is wrong?
Wierd clutch problem.

Are you sure the fingers on the forks are inside the two ridges on throw/out bearing that keep it from falling out of throw/out bearing, you will have to unbolt the trans and slide it back some till you can get forks in slot in throw/out bearing then care/fully slide trans back up to eng. watching as it get close to be sure forks dont slip out of place?

Clutch discs in the wrong order could cause that. I did see one incorrectly marked once.

Newer Eatons come assembled (making them he77 to get in. You put in the first disc. It is marked flywheel side. All the rest is one unit.
The forks are in front of the bearing. The cross shaft turns easily. The bearing isn't hung. It can easily be moved forward toward the engine.
The adjuster can't be moved on either direction. -
Never have seen it, but manual states to call support center. Used support center with Ultrashift problems and usually pretty helpful.

Did the little blocks of wood fall out, when you bolted in down? They must have, if you can move it.?

When the bolts were very close to tight the blocks of wood fell out.
I tried a couple of pics but they aren't worth trying to unload.
I called the help center at 5pm east coast time. Sorry can't help you. I was told it is after hours and I would need to talk to a senior advisor.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
I messed up. Step #7. Didn't do that as a step in the procedure.
I know the blocks of wood aren't very thick and 1 fell out. The other dropped out at the last second. So I would say the bearing was at the proper distance. Something went haywire later when putting the tranny in.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
Mid America clutch has a video on clutch adjustment, might help, One part talks about the throughout bearing sleeve getting off center. Prying bearing towards clutch to center it up. Adjuster not working? Blocks came out good, like they’re supposed to. I’m sure you’re holding pedal in, while trying to adjust it. Does it move it up against clutch brake, when depressed? If not maybe adjust linkage to compensate. I’ve only done 1 clutch, with a bunch of help from Boxcarr Kid. No expert. Just trying to help.

With the pedal to the floor it doesn't touch the throwout bearing. It is close but doesn't touch it. I will watch the video. I have nothing to loose.
