Sometimes when caught up, tend to think the worse.Sounds like everything was done right.Just can’t get it to adjust. Needs to lengthen or shorten linkage, depending on the Truck.

What some of you can't seem to comprehend is that the bearing is against the clutch brake with no help from the fork.

Forgot that big detail, my mistake. I might as well ask, Any chance you put the flywheel on backwards? Possible to do on my Detroit, no key way.

Did you hang the clutch on flywheel first or did you put the clutch on trans and install as a combo?

Eaton knows the cause of this problem and the solution. The adjuster nut was not put into the lock position. That in turn allowed the clutch to back itself off and moving the bearing to the clutch brake. The solution is to pull the transmission back 1/2". This relieves the pressure on the clutch and allows the adjuster to be turned backwards, thereby moving the bearing to where it should be.
The bearing was in its proper place originally because 1 block fell out and the 2nd one only needed to touched to make it come out. Sometime somehow the adjuster nut let the bearing go backwards. I will found out if this solution solves the problem shortly.

It is a big fat no go. Trans. slid back a little bit and that moved the bearing away from the clutch brake. The clutch still will not adjust. On phone now.

Wrong clutch? Got to pull it and get the flywheel bore diameter.

The school of life can sometimes be expensive. My flywheel is only 8 1/2". The clutch I bought won't work on my flywheel. Decision time again.

FYI '93 S60 began life at 470. Eaton doesn't make many clutches for that flywheel, They are rated at 1650.

Wonder if you could take it to a machine shop and have the I’d of flywheel machined to match damper depth and od...I know it can be done but don’t know if reducing that meat would make prone to crack or break....

Easy enough to pick up a proper size flywheel. My 93 got me. Actually I did me in.
