never actually worked on a truck before (was not allowed to as a company driver). have my own truck. 1985 Volvo White COE
driver window is stuck halfway down, won't go back up. I took the interior vinyl 85% off, and didn't see any way to access the upper half of the track.
Am I going to have to rip the entire door apart to fix this? or should i just get an entire door to replace it?
window off track

It may be the guide track broke loose or the regulator bad. I had a Freightliner come in this past weekend and the guide track had broke loose. I cleaned it good and JB Weld it back in place. No need to buy a door just have someone look at it that is familiar with how it should work.

Try to fix it as mentioned. I thank they used the same doors on some conventionals. Normally just want the guts and use the same door. It could be something simple.

Take it apart, trying not to break anything else. Might as well learn now, it won’t be the last time you’ll have a problem with a door. There are some speacialty tools for working on interiors, But screwdrivers, pliers, and a few wrenches and sockets should work. The track or bracket that holds window is probably broken

Often window tracks just needs some lube. Regulator motors do burn out from time to time.
