Another suggestion, if you have the time and energy, do a "super clean" of your windshield (there are blogs about it and Youtube videos), then keep your washer bottle full of Rain-X designed for -20, it does wonders, only downside, the soaps some truck washes use are pretty caustic and will defeat the process. I did a "super clean" on my pickup last year, it gets washed every 3 weeks, still cleans very easily. I di dthe KW when we first got it, but the first truck wash ruined it.

I also use the rain X with de-icer . But I do like the simple green idea. Never tried it, I might.

I was thinking about you a few days ago. Still in the same place going from point A to point B in record time?

So spraying wiper fluid sitting still and doing 60 ends up being the same temperature?

Liquid that can evaporate is an exception to the rule. The evaporation requires energy to happen, and that energy loss can cause a liquid to drop below freezing, even when ambient is above freezing, if the conditions are right. Same way a swamp cooler works, and also why they only work good in dry climates. If you can't get the water to evaporate fast enough, you can't get it to cool below ambient. And also why you can freeze water if you can get it to evaporate fast enough.
