@taylormade1 may have some information.
Poxonorudy Thanks this. -
I’ve never seen a decent Windy Hill truck, never.
Just read the reviews and then run!
Personally I’d buy a KIA and deliver pizzas before I’d drive for them.
Go to Swift or something.trkrmichael, Speed_Drums and Poxonorudy Thank this. -
If your main concern is about their equipment as it should be..
Their trucks get put out of service a lot..more than the national average. Score for drivers getting put oos is very impressive.
SAFER Web - Company Snapshot WINDY HILL FOLIAGE INCDwellsouth and Poxonorudy Thank this. -
I go by the headquarters quite often and see new trucks and trailers lined up.
Literally dozens of each.
Only explanation I can fathom is they are kinda a starter company and hire greenhorns out of FL so maybe they run the junk till they hire someone worthy of a 3 year old new truck..lolFlat Earth Trucker, Goldenfan, Dwellsouth and 2 others Thank this. -
Maybe they’ve changed since I looked at them 8 years ago just starting out. All I remember and still see occasionally are run down dirty pro stars..
Maybe those new ones you see at the headquarters are just eye candy for the new recruits, or for their brochures
Some of the reviews I’ve read are somewhat brutal, enough to make you run!Poxonorudy and Dennixx Thank this. -

I had one tick me off today, running an old beat up Columbia. 63 in the left lane, on a 65MPH highway, couldn't or wouldn't get out of his own way.
Flat Earth Trucker and Dennixx Thank this. -
So last year or maybe 22 I was thinking FL for retirement and told recruiter I'd come work for them if I could do flower/foliage runs Florida to midwest exclusively. Check out properties.
He said new hires run the northeast.
Said I won't be a new hire thenFlat Earth Trucker, IH Truck Guy, Speed_Drums and 1 other person Thank this. -
Where I work at, a windy hill driver came in for an unload and he was looking at our new spotter trucks. They got shipped in without the stack on and we had put a pail over the hole . He said windy hill had new trucks that they didn't do that on and it wound up damaging the engines when the snow and rain blew in there. Not sure if he was BSing or not but it didn't seem like it. I think Dennis may be on to something .
