Are you serious ? That's a major air leak .
-
this one is sealed and doesnt have an air supply to it.(that i can find) though the seal is obviously broken. also this is on an f350 dually.

That is an odd looking bag. I never seen one like that.
-
odd though it may be, pass or fail is the question.
-
Is it properly mounted and secured? Is there and evidence of chaffing or cracking? OOPS that would be fail.
-
O.K. I see now . That's an air suspension add on and the rest of the truck has no need for air . It's a hydraulic brake system . Since it is useless as it is and not part of the original equipment why not just remove it ? Was it installed by the previous owner ? Some owners install compressors and air lines for easier filling and adjustment but that's optional . Others have a valve similar to the valve on a tire and are filled with an air hose .

its not my truck, therefore removal would have to be up to the company. also, the weight we put on that truck. it really needs that airbag. it really squats down when hooked up.
the big problem is what will dot say about its current condition. the first thing the office will say is " it just passed a dot inspection, why do we need to fix it"
thats when i
and then say " what they missed once, isnt what they will miss everytime"
-
Fix it or take it off. Don't wait to find out if the DOT will let it slide.
-
still not my truck, they will have to pay someone to do either. or authorize it to be done.
