I have actually slid a few wheels on dry, but they bite into the tires and tears em all up fast. And I am the one paying for the replacements. Usually after I took out a car or two on the 495 around DC during rush. Thats on me.
This would be back in the mid 80's where trailer braking and suspension is nowhere near as nice as they are today.
In today's trucks with that ABS etc you would not be able to slide them very much. Or want to. They need to keep rotating.
WRONGFULLY TERMINATED FROM SWIFT

No surprise to me that this forum would side with the same Swift desk jockeys they’ll move on to lambaste in the next thread. The guy was hit by a speeding 4 wheeler who blew a red light, that’s the fact obviously proven by the police report. Considering the company in question I don’t see why this hard to believe, they’ll fire him because there are 50 more suckers ready to fill his position. Regardless of the WHAT IFs, he was cited no wrongdoing and was fired anyways. As someone else stated, keep a copy of that report handy and find another job. You won’t have a problem with that amount of experience finding a far better job than Swift anyways

That is the other side of the coin for me. When I used ABS in the big rig its because I am way too #### fast and need to stop right now. If I did not have that ABS onboard after say 1996, I would most certainly have hit people and I think that will break my heart more than anything. Better to miss them by this much and tell the story later.buddyd157 Thanks this. -
