I eat at mom and pop truck stops or regular restaurants for the most part.
The big truck stops are for fuel and shower only then get out before some clueless idiot knocks my hood off.
I've got my hiding spots that are safe and proven for the most part.
I'll be 52 on 12-8 this is year number 24 out here and it will be my last most likely.Trucker61016, x1Heavy and stayinback Thank this. -

Florida is the only state where I park at the scale house.
There's a 150 parking spots for the 5 of us who aren't afraid
To park There to choose from.
They even have a separate building for the drivers
With a bathroom in it ,for the 2am emergency.
And it's clean.
Couple junk food machines. What else does a man need.
Take your shower on the way in.
Park at the coops. There's always a 100 spots open
Day and night.
That's what it's there for.
Everybody is afraid that DOT Is gonna mess with them.
I asked them about it when I was in the scale house.
Once you roll across the scales you can park out back
And take your break.
When you leave out you don't have to cross the scales
Again. Just hop in the bypass lane and take off.gokiddogo Thanks this. -
Tourist area. Always been horrible for parking. Used to be a good hiding spot down in Kissimee right off the pike.
