Greetings
I've joined and might post from time to time in various parts of the forum.
I've recently had a notion to return to the OTR Trucking industry. Yayy...
er well, unless CSA 20?? has ruled my role as a driver redundant and irrelevant (Twilight Zone reference).
I've already spent about 7 hours reading Thread: CSA 2010: The data to see if my 0 point driving record, 0 DOT offense, 0 accident record might be sufficient to return to big rig driving.
It's been a lucrative industry for many, without an upfront $300,000 university career cost to join.
I drove commercially for over a year and a half in-state, then went out OTR for 365 days before parking the truck in the lot, cleaning it well and handing in the keys.
142,000 miles in my first year running the Lower 48. Some hard driving and good days and nights out there running loads around this beautiful country 2-4 months out at a time.
Anyhow, there are many thoughts to choose from to post on that CSA 2010 thread. I'll try and choose wisely which ones I do write.
Thanks for allowing membership. Its a good looking forum.
Yeah, I'm new here :-)
