A Walmart Supercenter in Springfield, IL is being hit with a $50,000 fine by the city. Their crime is letting trucks park in their lot – a decision which local authorities say is making the parking area dangerous for others.
Springfield doesn’t have any laws that would prohibit trucks from parking in Walmart’s lot. And this Walmart does allow trucks to park overnight. According to the city, the only issue is that Walmart is violating zoning laws.
Back in April of 2017, a safety complaint was made to the city against Walmart. The city then did a safety inspection. City inspectors said that large trucks were blocking visibility for other motorists when they parked in the lot.
The city started charging Walmart $500 per day that it was in violation of zoning laws. The total fine got up to $18,000 before the city agreed to let Walmart solve the problem by just painting longer lines in the parking lot to designate official truck parking spaces.
But Walmart never ended up repainting the lot. So last week the city reinstated the fines, retroactively charging Walmart $50,000.
“We’re still weighing all of our options and continuing to work with the city to reach solutions, until then, we are working within the regulations,” said a Walmart spokesperson according to Yahoo Finance.

Jack says
The solution will be: „Absolutely no truck parking” signs all over the place…
Rodger Harding says
Apparently you didn’t read the article because that particular Walmart allows trucks to park it’s the city that don’t want us there
raymond atkinson says
Yes, but Walmart will change that policy if that particular Walmart actually has to pay the 50,000 plus ongoing fines.
Bob says
The polices are starting to change at several Walmarts. The one on I-24, exit 152 in Tennessee, no longer will allow trucks to park there overnight.
raymond atkinson says
Why is everyone fussing at Jack, he is only saying that if walmart is forced to pay the fines, and continue paying them, they will ban truck parking there. He didnt say he was in favor of that, just that he thinks that is what they will do.
Alex Cheilik says
I’d say don’t deliver goods to Springfield
Fred Douglas says
easy to say, WHEN WILL YOU START. Mext load ask for a Springfield Mo. not Maas , load.
Felix Paladino says
The problem with dad is getting companies like Snyder Swift and all the big ones but are not Union to agree to that they’ll be happy to make the deliveries because they’ll make money on it and the drivers at work form don’t understand that they the ones that will be getting the parking fines at Walmart and that will be $500per truck
Charlie Krebs says
Private property. Just another freedom taken away. Some BS 4 wheeler probably hates trucks.
jimbo says
HAD a home on property zoned commercial also a business also had a rv trailer inside fenced yard, in side city limits code officer told me i had 10 days to remove trailer . rv’s not allowed in city limits parked over night . but allowed a local wal-mart zoned commercial asked what my zoning was ? NO ANSWER asked him if he would check , he did commercial !! saw him sometime latter i said hi … he turned his back to me and walked away !
Walmart Springfield Shopper says
Apparently Roger Harding didn’t read the article either. The city did not say it did not want truckers there. The article implies the city would have allowed Walmart to continue letting truckers stop overnight as long as they painted longer lines designated for large trucks.
Until recently, the large semis were parking at the ends/entrances to the parking rows, which blocked visibility and drivers could not see incoming traffic.
Hopefully Walmart will designate spots for truckers.
Dennis Barr says
Jack you’ve never drove a truck. Truckers keep parking at Walmart 👍
Melon Popper says
I do drive truck and Jack is correct. Same thing happened at the York, NE Walmart. Guess what? No more truck parking. Eff Walmart and Eff these libtard cities.
Joe says
Got to love la… Hours up… No parking
Scott says
Melon Popper should know those towns are conservative strongholds. Rich cons don’t want truckers parking in their towns, they think poorly of truckers. Truckers have been known to leave piss bottles and lots garbage where they park.
Older than dirt says
it ain’t Wal Mart. it’s idiot truck driver parking anywhere they want, even by the front door, parking crooked, throwing bottles of piss and trash out the window,. A lot of Wal-Marts and other places, especially in new Mexico are banning trucks because the drivers lack any consideration at all. Example; Last year at the Walmart in Deming NM, so many truck were scattered all over the lot, they blocked the delivery docs, and were even parked in the fire lanes. The police had to come to get them to move. result, no more parking at that lot.So before everyone starts bitching about how “evil” Walmart is perhaps we should look at our OWN house first. How many of you have seen trash and garbage and bottles of urine that were thrown out of trucks at a truck stop, when there was a trash can TEN FEET AWAY?
Charlie Krebs says
We all know what happened. Keep your junk in your pants and your trash in your truck, or this thing called a dumpster.
Douglas Fonville says
I talked to the only big rig tow company in york, and they told me the only way they will tow a truck from this walmart is if the driver requests it or it’s been abandoned or an immediate safety concern.
Brutus Beefcake says
Trucks, stop delivering to that town.
ERIC MOORE says
When we truckers run out of time we need to by law to go off duty for 10 hours. So if you don’t want a truck in the lot than you change the law.
Donald Wilkerson says
No they will just.fine.you and run.you.out.of.the trucking industry
Domingo says
Let’s just say a cities, towns or counties should propose a law to require all businesses to build a parking truck since that’s their pipeline to continue filling up its merchandise otherwise if short supplies the customers will feel the price increase. Trucking companies and truckers paid taxes so let’s construct truck parking areas for the benefits of everyone. If the gas station corporation can build it at the heart of the cities not enough to accommodate the truckers though so I think it’s time for the government sides to do their part not just slapped the Walmart for a penalty because they have a heart and fully understand the situations of the truckers once it runs out of hours of service.
MICHAEL WHITEHEAD says
Trust me, not all Wal-Mart stores allows truck parking. It’s hit or miss across the country…
Anthony Suarez says
I agree with you. Not all Walmart stores allow outside trucks to park.
Fred Douglas says
Yes that is probably a solution. Each business should have an parking lot for the trucks servicing their business.
These trucks should not be forced to leave that business, if they have ran out of hours or have not yet been assigned a new load to pick-up. If their hours are up (70 hours) for the week they should not have to move till they are legal to do so by law.
WalMart has always been a friend of truckers. Truckers have not always been a friend to Walmart. They leave garbage behind and feel it’s their right. Shame , SHAME!
Michael A Grossman says
Amen brothers they need to go back to letting us split our drving time up
Brandon says
It’s a shame.. Driver’s beed sleep and loads at times have a way of setting you up in the wrong place at the wrong time. I’ve been stuck looking for a parking spot checking all the nearby rest areas and trucks stops with them all full. I’ve always turned to finding the nearest walmart to get a sleeping spot in the past and now with this fining, who knows..
Anthony Suarez says
That is why you need to plan ahead not drive and then start to scramble for a spot.
Monette says
Lol…What world do you live in?
Allen says
Great point Eric Moore
Robert says
I guess you are not a truck driver. Jack. When we are out of hours we have to park. Truckers are human beings and we get treated like the lowest scum. Shippers/receivers tell us no parking leave or get towed. Plan better and you would have hours to leave. Point is we need truck parking. States are making laws we can’t park on the interstate ramps. Truck stops are not big enough some states have closed rest areas. cities are making laws against parking at Walmart.
Mike says
I challenged a consignee regarding the no parking on property after empty rule. They threatened to tow me, i called State (with customer’s security in front of me) & told them i was not leaving until break was over in 3 hrs. Said next call was to US Marshal Service! Explained that had customer unloaded me in a timely manner, instead of 7 hrs. I could have left and been on my way the night before. Showed STATE / DOT my logs and bol and they told the guard to inform customer i would be gone 15 minutes after my Federally Required break was over.
Never went back there again, dispatch told me they got a call requesting i not return….lol. fine by me!!!
Mine says
Same basic thing happened to me except I was close enough to, umm, find a place close enough for government work to finish my break. While I was waiting, called ICE to see if they’d be interested. Never went back.
Fred Douglas says
I like that, gppppd job.
David Adams says
As a share holder in Walmart, just band the trucks , simple as that
Monette says
So…You’ll Be Picking Up Your Own Goods…Haha…That’s A Joke…If You Truly Are A Share Holder…Ummmm…Do You Have Any Clue Of How Much US Truck Drivers Spend?
J says
Then how u gonna get your product to the store lmao
Lori Quesada says
I agree with Robert 100%
Frank Cuevas says
I take it that you’re not a professional truck driver. what if we drivers designate the city of Springfield IL as a NO Delivery Zone and we just refuse to deliver any goods to that city? what would you do then? What if all Professional Drivers Charge 10 times the amount to deliver or ship any goods from that city? Thats right, The city would dry up and die. What we need is a National Professional Commercial Drivers Union. We need to stand together against stupid politicians and city officials.
John White says
Good idea
MICHAEL WHITEHEAD says
I AGREE!!!!
Inder says
Yes good idea
Fred Douglas says
I suggest you think real life. Truckers have no solidarity, never had or will.
I suggest that you think in the real world for a real solution. Your carrier will not turn down a load to Springfield Missouri unless you are working for a mini mouse company. (very few trucks) The MEGA company, will scoop that load in a heart eat. They keep their tricks running.
Nothing accomplished!
Monette says
Truthfully…Whenever a company won’t let me take my 10hr…due to them taking forever to unload me…I stay…I. My 8 Years, I’ve Only had a problem once…I’ve Also Stopped running above I-40 because of all of the nonsense.
Kelly says
The next thing will be your store shelves empty due to this crap. When a trucker is out of hours whom delivers to your precious Wal-Mart, where do they go? They CANNOT legally drive anywhere . And police actually can’t make them move if out of hours. It’s a violation of safety! Sit in a rig for a week and you’ll be singing a different tune.
Fred Douglas says
Right on Kelly, you have it right.
Monette says
Amen
zee says
Please read the new Personal conveyance rules out
last month from the DOT….officer can move you off a property
to safe haven under personal conveyance rules…you can move your self off property to closes safe haven parking under personal
conveyance rules. Just no advancing a load by moving to the next shipper receiver(although if close enough, that would be the safe haven)
and you can drive home if not under dispatch or loaded. The feds posted them ,not me.
Don says
NO TRUCKS EQUALS EMPTY SHELVES YOU SAID ALL TRUCKS
Larry Cooper says
Well, maybe all TRUCKING companies, and DRIVERS who have deliveries in this town just do to the city what the city is doing to them. Show a little hate and refuse to deliver anything to this city and let them find out HOW important trucks really are to them. They elect officials to bring new laws against trucks for hours of service that prevent trucks from being able to leave there “LOVELY “ city and then, the public refuses to allow the trucker to comply with truck laws WHAT the HELL!
Don Mc says
I TOTALLY agree.
Annette Bracken says
Couldn’t have been said any better! Thank you!!!
MICHAEL WHITEHEAD says
The problem is the mega carriers don’t think like that and the drivers that work for those mega carriers don’t have the gumption to stand up to the mega carriers and say NO!
Fred Douglas says
They do not have an organization behind them, they have gumption, no organization or union.
Larry Smith says
Refusing to deliver products to Springfield and other areas who do this will work. It would only take a couple days to straighten things out and have a solution to the problem. But, problem is, you can not get drivers to stand together to get this done. Case in fact, the two trucker strikes many years ago. Thousands shut down, but thousands more did not, stating they could not afford to.
Here it is, straight and simple. Truckers have a GREAT amount of power and dont know it. 100% of truckers in the US had had at least 3-4 days that they were shut down. Think about it. Every truck in the nation shuts down bbn on the same day. Two days later, no gas in stations, food in grocery stores scarce. These two items alone will wake people up and get thing working towards change.
But. Like I said. Truckers will not stand together.
Sad.
Bruce Brown says
How can you get them to shut down together? They don’t even speak the same language.
Edjahman says
Yeah it’s a shame because if we all stood together, like they do in Europe, we could shut the entire country down, or a large portion of it until we get treated better.
I’m not sure how bad things have to get to get most Americans rioting in the streets because we need another revolution, to be honest. We need it for all working people, not just truckers.
Dover says
The problem with striking is, when drivers strike, government subsidized trucking companies like Werner, JB Hint, Schnieder, and such slip in and steal the business.
MICHAEL WHITEHEAD says
It is sad but very true
Fred Douglas says
Think of this Larry, owner operators have a very narrow profit margin. They cannot afford to thumb their nose at a city such as springfield Mo. or any other municipality. They have payments to make , road taxes to pay insurance payments, and families to feed and families with house mortgages or rent, car payments. Stop thinking so small. It is a large world and a diverse world. Get some sleep and think clearly!
mak says
it is the best way it had worked befor, and will again.start planing and moven the word down the line.pic a date sread the word any two days will do.ill be ini leas on to a co. but dont care what thier reacc. will be ican go somewere ells to work. divers did it in the 70s and 80s and did a drive protest in the 90 in ill. at 55mph every started to leave the truck stop at about the same time ,it did make ntional news and started a session of talks to get some things dunnnn.
it will work again.
Monette says
I would in a heartbeat
Nathan Salisbury says
That sounds like a fantastic idea !!!
Boycott Springfield, IL.
It worked at Flying J in Barstow CA when DOT was allowed on the premises to perform DOT inspections.
Needless to say it was not long before DOT was asked to leave the premises and approximately one week later trucking companies started to be patrons of that particular Flying J,
so it is possible if enough drivers and companies reach a point to where enough is enough
, desired results can be achieved if we have a mind made up to follow through on any objective.
Trucking companies and federal governmental agencies force there agenda in us every day .
This is one of the very reasons why I left driving in 2014 . Enough is enough .
Fred Douglas says
Not the same scenario! Big town small truck stop, no connection!
SnowWalker says
Do you, as a company driver, have that choice? That’s the problem truckers are facing. If the owner operators takes any action to fight back, the big trucking companies just step in to fill the gap. The solution will not be that easy to solve.
Monette says
I am an O/O, I’d do a strike if others would…
Trucka T says
This is madness. Trucks are the backbone of the country. We get no love or respect. I say a strike should be orchestrated to really show the people how deep our impact is on the economy. Let’s see these Jack wagons drive Otr then find a safe place to rest at…. This sickens me
Me says
Shut up, go get another job. I havent had a problem parking in 30 years, shut up and go park, thats if you can back up.
Rhoda Thompson says
ME..you are so STUPID…you never had a problem..you are what us old drivers call FREIGHT HAULER!!! Not a truck driver..you are a rookie that knows everything..you hear me freight hauler..!!!!
Rebecca says
Thank you for saying that Rhonda Thompson
My husband has been driving for 21 years and often has trouble parking. Me must be one of those local drivers that can park at his work place. He sounds like a person that has been driving for e0 years hasn’t been in the real world of driving.
Mike R says
Lol no place to park what a joke 😂😂 35 yrs out here pulling refrigerated freight and with the exception of the east coast at times I’ve never had a problem finding parking. Most but not all customers will let you park if they have room and if you make a plan and work the plan you can find parking. I’ve probably slept in a Walmart parking lot 5 times in 35 years I’ve never parked on a ramp to sleep it’s to dangerous for everyone that drives on or off the ramp not to mention if someone hits you regardless if there drunk or sober you will receive at ticket and you or your company can be sued. Trucker strike is another joke even if it would work you will not get 25% drivers to strike because we live in a me me society we don’t care enough about anyone else because we’re all about ourselves.
SnowWalker says
I can name you more than 100 receivers and shippers that will not let you park at their depots.
Melon Popper says
You haven’t had a problem parking in over 30 years? That’s probably because you don’t ever leave the left door closed. Never met a buffet bar you didn’t like. It’s not hard to park when you only drive 6 hours a day. Shut up and get on back to the feed trough.
Sk says
Good thought.one problem.
You all to busy judging each other to ever organize anything like a shut down.
Happened once in the 70s never happen again. All the real truck drivers are dead.
But good luck.
Rhoda Thompson says
Not all of us are dead..these newbies think not matters but them..get in the truck mess pedal to floor and get out of my way.. these type of people could not make a pimple on a truck drivers butt
Melon Popper says
All the real truck drivers are dead, huh? How ignorant you are.
SnowWalker says
Jimmy Hoffa tried it in the late fifties.
Fred Douglas says
Jimmy Hoffa is missing and presumed to be dead. Jimmy Hoffa had a organized work force that made him a millionaire!
Robert says
Life blood not backbone. Farmers are the backbone.
We keep everything flowing.
Melon Popper says
I was going to say that, but I figured it would go over his head anyway.
Edjahman says
All working people are really.
Dr Mark says
As a non driver, I’m thankful and appreciative of the drivers who bring everything from food, medicine, fuel, clothing, hardware, software to toilet paper.
If I see a truck approaching from the right or left as I come to an intersection, I stop short or backup and signal to come in and I’ll give you room.
If Wal-Mart is kind enough to accommodate trucks, maybe the city council and people of the city would like to go fetch what they need on their own.
This really is “biting the hand that feeds you”.
While these people sit home and rest, eat, watch TV and sports, truckers are trying to bring ALL the things that make their lives comfortable and enjoyable AS POSSIBLE.
Truckers need to be welcomed, thanked, AND APPRECIATED. .
MICHAEL WHITEHEAD says
We all wish there were more people that think like you my friend!
Rufus says
Why can’t the city count avg. # of trucks parked there, and create a legitimate parking area in a place they feel is suitable. It is easy to find fault. Step up and find a solution.
Dennis Barr says
Your so right👍
Don Nederhoff says
State keeps shutting down rest areas and technically it is illegal to park on the ramps where you get on other roads so I guess the real problem is not with the towns but with the government. Every year there approximately 100,000 more trucks than the year before and less parking places. If Walmart says trucks can park along one side of their PRIVATE PROPERTY then the cities should keep out of it. Without trucks there would not be a need for any stores. Next time you eat Thank a Trucker because he gives up a lot of family time to make sure you have food on your plate and everything else you buy. 98% of the population don’t realize a trucker has something to do with everything people get. If all the trucks stopped for 1 week the country would have to shut down.
Robert says
They did. Article says Walmart never repainted the lines for trucks and they backdated the fine to the last court date.
Mike R says
Yeah but if not for a truck driver how would you get what you grow or raise to the market? I mean I don’t see many railroad tracks going through cornfields or feed lots or any rivers or oceans so yeah I think you got your statement 110% incorrect.
Melon Popper says
Like I tell everyone else, we farmers don’t give a crap about that. We can feed ourselves and our family, friends, and neighbors just fine. You all can starve for all we care. If you’re hungry enough, YOU can find a way to get our food to your plate.
whosfate says
There were farmers long before truck drivers or railroads, genius. I think they got on with life just fine.
??? says
Designate a truck parking area like some walmarts already do.
These fine happy twits are not concerned bout safety but lining thei pockets
Spyder says
Read the post. The city told Walmart to do that and they didn’t
Dean Erickson says
I have seen more and more Walmarts banning semi trucks from parking in their parking lots, at all. For Walmarts with small parking lot, I understand but I do think Walmarts with larger lots should set aside a specific area for big trucks, only. It’s for drivers and for Walmart. A local Walmart in my area had stopped allowing big trucks overnight. I talked to a Walmart Manager and explained the importance and benefits of allowing trucker parking. Shortly after, they changed the policy and now allow overnight parking to truckers.
William Jude Standridge says
I know the feeling about these little weasels have no idea what we go through to keep there little spoiled town alive
Sk says
Give it up guys the general public only cares about them selves. To them you are nothing but a low life belly dragging gutter rat who creats hell and havoc in their day or life. Shame on you for being there before they got there.
Rhoda Thompson says
Some nasty drivers abuse a good thing in parking lots..trash…piss on asphalt…run over curbs and signs..Freight haulers not true truck drivers
Glenn says
What’s the diff between a freight hauler & truck driver? What cargo does a ‘truck driver’ haul that a freight hauler doesn’t in your opinion?
Either way, it used to be an honorable profession & I had no problem telling people I drove truck. Not anymore. Too many dirtbags have tarnished the reputation of ‘professional’ truck drivers so I just say ‘Im not a truck driver, Im a guy that drives a truck’.
For another 40 days anyways I’ll be out here dealing with all the unprofessional steering wheel holding freight hauling truck drivers till I climb out of the truck & take my 2 million safe driving miles with me & leave the trucking rat race & change gears in another career.
You people can keep calling names & fighting over the same bs that’s been going on since 1990 only it’s 10x that now. Get out while you can, the writing is on the wall. The job market is booming. 40 days can’t get here soon enough for me.
Derrick Tisdal says
This is exactly what I’m talking about…truckers vs truckers and “I’m better than you” bs! What the heck makes you you better than the next driver? Absolutely nothing! I’m assuming you are are a female driver and you would be surprised how some male drivers talk about how females can’t back up or some other crap. And here you are disparaging other drivers over an issue that you or them or all of us cannot solve because we can’t STICK together over who is a real truck driver! You are part of the problem not part of the solution!
Melon Popper says
All people leave trash around. Pissing on asphalt harms exactly zero people. We’re no responsible for the lack of foresight by engineers designed the curbs and lots.
MrYowler says
Sigh. It’s Walmart’s lot; they should be allowed to decide who gets to park there. If visibility around trucks is such an issue, then how is it legal to have trucks on the roadways, and in traffic? We must create an untenable hazard on the highways…
That is the dumbest safety complaint I ever heard. The store is bigger than any truck; is it also a safety hazard, because it impairs visibility? No. Because nobody tries to drive into the store. Whoever made the complaint was obviously too stupid not to drive somewhere that they cannot see. The trucks manage to park there without hitting one another, right? Can they see better than the cars?
Let Walmart decide who parks what kinds of vehicles on Walmart’s property. I’m sure that they will bend to the will of the city, eventually, just to get the city off of their backs; but it’s their property – not the city’s, not the truckers’, and not the complainants’. Walmart should have every right to allow or deny parking to whomever they choose, in their own parking lot.
Don Nederhoff says
Walmart should pull out of these towns and build in the country. Lose the revenue for the taxes and watch the town fall apart. I’m not saying I approve of everything Walmart does but they do bring in a lot of revenue to towns. THINK ABOUT THIS no stores means no revenue. Maybe whoever filed the complaint saying the could not see should stay off their cellphone. Truckers are always under scrutiny for one thing or another but if you take a good long look at yourself maybe you are the problem. The drivers today are not like the true older drivers as they don’t have the same manners or respect .
raymond atkinson says
In this case, Walmart agreed to paint lines for truck only parking and the fines would be dropped, but then they didn’t do it. It’s Walmart’s fault as much as anyone else’s, they dont give a crap either.
Juan Robledo says
The few Walmarts that I was able to park did have designated truck parking, the problem is the drivers who park there don’t park correctly, if those few screw it up for the rest would just follow the signs maybe the problem could be solved
John Meyer says
It’s time for truckers to boycott Springfield, IL…..except for the Walmart that’s actually appreciative of truckers and campers.
The zoning laws should force every shopping center to have truck parking. With access to restaurants and other services. Truck drivers would not be forced to eat at over priced truck stops.
Robert says
Campers? Are you out of your mind. Campers park in truck stops and are part of the problem. Go park at a camp ground unless you are hauling them for a living from one dealer to another.
Sk says
One thing more been to my Wal-Mart in my personal vechical I Do swear sometimes you guys and gals just don’t have a lick of smarts on were or how you park so with that being said thank God it’s are good given right and not a courtesy allowed by Wal-Mart. And by all means please keep leavening your piss-bottles,trash,
Mattresses and anything else you can think of. It makes it so much easier for the rest of us.
Thank you.
Doug says
Y’all missed the words in the article. What’s happened here is some soccer mom or other busy-bee, went to the city to complain about the fact that she doesn’t know how to drive and now the rest of us have to suffer for it.
Chance says
You’re right about what the article said, the trucks were blocking her view and made it hard for her to see around them. Stupid hussie should go to the other side of the parking lot. Who are they going to sue for her not being able to see around a truck on the interstate?
Rhoda Thompson says
SK…you are right…I say this again..those drivers are low life freight haulers not truck drivers..
Sir Poky says
You just got to love these blue States they always want you to burn so much diesel fuel running around trying to find a place 50 miles outside of town to park. I’d say kick it on up and pour out some fresh choking black smoke when you’re in Illinois, California, Vermont or Massachusetts and don’t forget to get out your truck and take a crapola on the sidewalk to let them know your visiting. Seems they love that stuff.
J says
Don’t deliver nothing to this city business only Wal-Mart let’s see how they like a taste of there own medicine what this stupid office city people who sit on their ass all day don’t realize is everything moves on trucks
John says
Like i always say……. if you don’t like trucks parking at your Walmart…. go blame the government for that!! It’s not Walmart fault or the truck driver fault that the government implemented the e-log system! Go take your fine to the government and have them pay for it. They need to make changes on the e-log where drivers could still drive to a nearest truck stop while out of hours!! Stupid people want to make up new laws every time only to please themselves…. fine! Then maybe truckers should not deliver to cities or towns like Springfield. You want your product, go order it from amazon or drive out of town to go get it. And another thing…. if they are so worried about zoning laws, how about they fine these warehouses that take up a drivers time for loading and unloading!! I mean it shouldn’t take 6 hours to unload a truck but only 1 hour!
Jason Aho says
What good would ordering from Amazon do? I imagine alot of Amazon’s orders are carried on a truck at some point in their journey
Randall Truman says
You drivers that are complaining about elogs are exactly the one who have been violating the HOS for years. I for one am glad everyone has to be on elogs. Bitch and moan all you want, but elogs are here for the good of the industry. Now if you are looking for relief, make the govt fine the shippers and consignees for anything over 2 hrs loading or unloading. That I believe would solve the wait times. Not detention, cause that just doesnt work or they wont sign you in or out. If your are going to ship via CMV then hire the required people and skill level to do it expediantly. I could never understand how they put people in those positions that are not qualified. Have them change their business model to pay for GOOD help. That would be a start. But for you complainers about elogs, its about time everyone go by the same rules, oh and by the way those owner ops that think they own the road, wake up, its a new world of rules.
Derrick Tisdal says
By the way…the Feds changed the hos law that allows you to continue to drive even if you’re out of hours to find a safe place to park. The only crazy thing about the new reg is it says you shouldn’t drive in the direction of where your load is going…wth!
Terry says
You all aren’t getting the full picture. The city says they will let the fine go just repaint lines for the truck that’s all. What’s so hard about that. I’m just saying because I injoy parking at Walmart
Alex Cheilik says
Wal.mart drivers park at wal mart for their breaks
Eval says
Wow!!!!! Another action against Truck Drivers. It is sad to see how everyone wants to get a piece of the pie. Making it very hard for this industry to prosper.
Randall Truman says
If some of you low life truck drivers would not leave the parking lot like a war zone with your trash, then maybe more places would let us park there. In this case a soccer mom couldnt see around a truck to navigate the parking lot. Mark off a section of the parking lot and mark it for trucks only. Truckers spend a lot of money at wal mart, so I am happy that Wal Mart allows us to park there, and not get ripped off for parking, and supplies like the truck stops do. Most rookies cant park right anyway, and the crappy looking old trucks are usually the ones that make the messes. As far as the city is concerned, I have tried to find parking in Springfield B4, and besides the one pilot and road ranger there is no parking in that little crappy city. Wake Up Springfield, Commercial Motor Vehicles are delivering your lifeline of supplies, so help us out and let Wal Mart help the parking situation, and you will receive taxes from our sales at the mall/ store there.
Wendell says
Try using something that is not carried by truckers… at the same time many truckers don’t respect the parking preveledge… a strike is overdue but we can’t organize as one unit together…the United States should have more locations to accommodate truckers to park and bathrooms to make it easier for truckers to do what we do supply The World with everyday goods for homes to function..

In this new ELD era, parking spots are increasingly becoming more difficult to find. I think that it was fantastic for Walmart to allow them to park there. What’s the city of Springfield, Il afraid of? Do they think that the truck look unsightly? Now the city of Springfield, Il should be concerned of trucking companies not delivering freight to their government offices and banning them, I would definitely like to see that happen… does the city offices in Springfield, Il have nothing better to do?
Joeblowfromcocomoe says
Couple things I’ve noticed when parking at Walmart’s that “freight haulers” do, and generally the perpetrators have the most run-down eye sores of trucks too. Park as close to the entrance and against the parking lines as possible (lazy), empty thier piss bottles on the pavement right below thier door, too darn lazy to walk to the bathroom or to any of the numerous waste cans placed near the entrance. Also they carelessly throw thier numerous garbage and waste out thier vehicles onto the pavement instead of taking it to The darn garbage cans. It’s like with anything, if you leave it like you were never there and park at the designated locations or around the sides or farthest location from the front when the designated locations are taken then there wouldn’t be any reason for complaint. It’s not your right to park there people it’s a privilege, and if this privilege is not treated as such it will be taken away. That’s my rant.
Sean says
I agree
Bruce Brown says
Me too!!!

Joeblow has it right. I see both sides. The visibility safety issue is 99% BS because 4wheelers constantly create that issues by entering/exiting near our vehicles & driving around & threw us. The way to solve that prob is, when possible, ALWAYS choose a spot in a corner, next to grass, curn etc. & as far to back or side as possible. Out of sight, out of mind means less likely to get messed with. Google the dang place before hand.. study layout, have spot in mind. Main prob is, people in general have grown sick of any of u idiot unprofessional drivers who blantly run over curbs, signage, throw out garbage, piss bottles etc. Wth is wrong with u.. freakin sloppy pigs.. U are creating this hassle for all of us.. Yea Im a trucker.. BUT I do it right.. I respect property, Im courteous etc. I leave good lasting impression to HELP our parking situation not make it worse. Sure Ive been run off lots of times thrue the years, hooked to a tow once & wheels booted last year. That in Union City, Ga. btw, DO NOT PARK anywhere near Atlanta in ANY kind of shopn centr. $500 + boot. I fought it, got city ordinance sup out, cops etc. was illegally done. Ive only been rude to the ones that were rude to me. They ask me nicely to leave, show respect, I show respect back & leave. I always have a plan B for alternant parking UNLESS Ive been to that location & know I wont get messed with. I trip plan my day the night before, I dont run my hours down to the wire then scramble for parking. Common sense man. Not bragging at all but SOME should def take pointers/notes from this long ass comment
John says
FedEx Freight Chicago Heights off Joe Orr Road banned overnight parking a few years ago for the same reasons as Joeblow states. You used to be able to park overnight there and then pick up your trailer, but due to lazy sloppy drivers tossing trash and cigarette butts out, including piss bottles, FedEx got tired of cleaning up after grown lazy men! And the nearby Walmart on S. Halsted stopped allowing parking their lot before FedEx stopped it. Walmart calls the local cops in the early morning and they come out and handout parking tickets at $40 a pop. I don’t like cars driving by my house throwing crap in my yard and I sure know businesses do not like it either. A few lazy drivers ruin it for the majority!
Sean says
I think that we as truck drivers should just boycott all areas that don’t want us. Then we will see how these areas will soon learn how to appreciate us truckers when all their stuff becomes too expensive and hard to get
Mark says
Oh for chrissakes…boycotts, strikes – give it up already. You can’t get drivers to agree on much of anything, much less shutting down and leaving money on the table. Most of us live damn near paycheck to paycheck, and could never afford to be a part of a strike. As someone posted before me, it happened once in the 70’s, and will never happen again. Every time some story like this comes out it’s “time to shut down for a week”, or “let’s stay out of so-and-so town”. NEVER GONNA HAPPEN!
Glenn says
^ Yep…I know you’re right Mark. Same ole bs rants. Boycotting delv to some town LMAO. NEVER happen. Keep pounding sand. Just deal with it or find something else to do in the booming job market. Truckers will continue to get squeezed from all sides & the job will just get more & more aggravating.
If it’s not enjoyable Im not employable.
Mark says
38 years down, seven more to go, and I’m out…unless they drive me out earlier. Luckily, I’m is a good place now. Doing local work, delivering sand on flats, in tankers, or in dump trailers, make a good hourly wage, drive well-maintained company equipment, and have an 8 minute commute to the shop. But I can’t wait to be done, and ride off with the missus into retirement!
Eric D says
Every single one of you missed the why it’s 50 thousand. Walmart agreed to paint truck parking line, City stopped the fine, Walmart failed to fulfill their agreed action. The city then backed the fine up to where they stopped it.
Mark says
You can’t let pesky little details like that get in the way of a good rant, now can you?
duh says
Come on – they are truckers, not English teachers! Can’t expect them to actually READ the article… or any article.
Par says
If you build a retail business, or motel, or anything that’s erves the public. By LAWyou have to provide a certain number of parking spaces, determined by square footage, number of rooms, etc. make any business that loads or received freight provide truck parking based on number of docks or something else. How manytimes have you been to a distribution center with 200 docks and NO truck parking. And they won’t let you on the property until 1 hr or less from your appointment, but fine you if you’re 1 minute late. If you have trucks come to your business, you should have to provide parking!
Dannyboy68 says
Well said, but until we all boycott boycott boycott nothing will be done for us.
Steve says
There are always those that take it to far and ruin it for everyone. As a walmart driver I have come into s store to make a delivery and been unable to get into the dock because a truck is blocking the receiving area. Parked in marked fire zones, dumping trash, just basicly lack of curtecy and or common sense. You see them in the truck stops too. You make the effort to park in a designated space and when you go to leave in the morning a truck is parked across from you in a no parking zone making it difficult if not impossible to get out safely.
Sometime I think we need to look to ourselves to find the problem.
Steve says
Wal-Mart leases the area where their stores are. They can’t just go out and build, change, or re-designate areas. The lease or management company has to do this. 90% of all freight/goods are transported via truck. If all drivers/trucking companies shut down, the economy would come to a stop within 24 hrs. If you as a consumer want food, clothes, goods of any type, you have to find away to accommodate the vehicles to take their breaks and rest periods. There need to be transportation parking areas in all larger commerce areas for these resources.
LHO says
I wouldn’t doubt that the trucks are not the only problem… How much do you want to bet there’s trees and bushes and landscaping in the view line of these four wheelers as well?
Dannyboy68 says
Been saying this for so long that I’m blue in the face but no one listens the answer is boycott boycott boycott cities that passed laws that hate on trucks they have no clue, nor do they genuinely care how difficult and frustrating it is for us to rest when the law forces us to rest or to just take a break so we can eat lunch or shop. They ban us, and we’re forced to take a bite of their shitburger and expected to love it
Raymond King says
Consequences for putting e logs in trucks which forces more drivers to be stopped at one time and NOT ENOUGH TRUCK STOPS OR REST AREAS. Tell the city of Springfield to GO F@CK THEMSELVES.
Dannyboy68 says
Well said, but until we all boycott boycott boycott nothing will be done for us.

Truckers make more than the Average American… yet can’t figure out how to not get stuck in the paycheck advance vicious cycle. How are they going to survive a week without getting paid? They can barely figure out how to survive a week where they ARE getting paid! Again – while making more than the average American!
James says
I make $10k a week working at Home.
Mark says
But most of us don’t want to work as a gay prostitute.
Glenn says
^ LMAO. I need to do what you’re doing. I only make $8k a week stuffing envelopes from my camper.
Derrick Tisdal says
A visibility issue? Some of these four wheelers wouldn’t see the USS Enterprise if it was going down the street with all the distracted driving I see! I agree that if all these big trucks can park next to each other without hitting everything in sight than surely cars can navigate the parking lot safely! I think this is a case of city officials trying to make a money grab at the expense of truckers in a constant battle to find a place to settle down for the night. I take notice of places like Springfield and NEVER book a load anywhere near there! Imagine if other truckers did the same thing? What they would do is raise the rate a few more bucks and you get drivers to go there anyway…we have a bad habit of not being able to support each other and people notice things like that!
Franck says
First I say thank you (thumbs up) to some of Walmart stores which allow us to park on their parking lots.
Secondly, thumbs down to some of us (unfortunately a lot of us) who live like animals and trash the little green and clean places left to park up late at night. As everyone chases after the god ‘dollar’ by making the miles, send a letter or emails to FMCSA or state’s DOT or to your local rep to encourage local or state decision makers to build more truck parking spaces out of town. Raise the issue when it is your time to vote/elect.
Shut up and get to work says
The public hates us and the government doesn’t have our backs.
So? You want a snuggle blanket to cry into? It’s only going to get worse.

I been a truck for 40 years people always water stuff delivered ASAP They treat us Nas till we get there then they won’t us to get the hell out we are treated like dirt no respect for the truckers but that’s the way it always has been and your pe they treat us nice till we get there then they won’t us to get the hell out we are treated like dirt no respect for the truckers but that’s the way it always has been it’s been said many times if we was to shut down for three days people would respect us in the law what to think about it
AfroBat says
They gave Walmart a chance and they blew it at the same time the city just want to get broke off and so they started with a high fine to begin with and so in one way I don’t blame Walmart for not paying.
The executives at Walmart know their worth to the community and this is how the city treats em?
Not even west Memphis did anything like this that I know of.
They should pay and close the doors and leave an empty building and pockets behind to send a strong message to the rest of the country, Get greedy we get gone!
Laurie says
I’m not a trucker, so forgive me if this question seems ignorant, but if it takes the receiver 6 hours to unload, are you not allowed to leave the trailer at the dock, drive the truck somewhere to rest and eat, and come back to get the trailer when it’s empty?
Samuel Gallezzo says
Good suggestion but shippers and recievers wont allow it. They have scheduled, limited space and/ or no yard drivers to move trailers. But good question.
Chuck says
I went to Wal-Mart because it was easy to get my truck in and out and used to spend a lot of money at Wal-Mart before they made it impossible to even park there long enough to shop. I have found other ways to shop and other places to spend my money even while I’m home.Apparently people haven’t got a clue how tough it is being an over the road trucker.
Bama vet says
Okay it’s like this drivers some people not but some believe your no more important than a box of rocks.society in a whole don’t hold valule to anything but them selves if person can leave a child or dog in a hot car because they had to run in the store for a second why would they care because you don’t have anywhere to park because your tired hungry or out of hours.this situation is a common situation the person or people who would even stand up for drivers is this particular location in Springfield it should be a warning and a wake-up for you drivers that the hunt is on and your the pray.
Deborah Henry says
Totally ridiculous. Truckers need that. Especially truckers like me whom stay on the road for months. This is crazy. Help truckers park anywhere we can fit. We’re not dangerous the other guys are.
JEREMY HERRING says
I think most of these replies miss the basic constitutional issue which is that the city admits to having no statute which Wal-Mart is violating by allowing truck parking but is still intent on extorting $50k from the mega-corporation. Sure it’s a drop in Wal-Mart’s bucket but then where does it end? Government is not the solution, it’s the problem!
raymond atkinson says
Walmart also agreed to paint some lines for truck parking in exchange for dropping the fines, but then they never did it. SO fines were reinstated including the days since that agreement was made. So Walmart is not blameless either, they could have taken care of this with just a few hours work.
John Galley says
Have you ever had a vehicle hit while parked at Wal-mart, Publix, Kroger or any other plaza store? The local authorities won’t even come take a report. They’ll tell you it’s private property and to exchange insurance information. Now in this town it seems they want to run a scam for revenue, that’s what it sounds like to me. Wal-mart will also tell you they’re not responsible for parking lot accidents and their lots are posted “Use At Your Own Risk”.
Erik Gaul says
Can go straight to the City of Springfield and there is a link to send all 10 council members a message.. Release the hounds!! Lets remind them what trucks do for this country and their City!!
Beatmoving says
This is what happens when people in government try to regulate, manage, and penalize the people who are efficiently productive. It’s a way of constructing social justice in a comforting safe space. It sounds noble and enlightening at first until that fire of ambition smolders out.

look at this comment page you can’t even get along on the internet
I am tried of law and people says
I think it’s time to stop delivery to the city when people start raning out of food and gas any other things.
And the city and states are make it hard to build more truck stop. Has a truck driver for more than 5 years plus and people cut me off on the road looking at me differently and I move food and other materials for people to life in this USA I give up evening home with my family to help other family so why do people hate truck drivers so much we are people and have family too make me very sad to think that are this great country only care about make more and more stupid laws about parking truck at Walmart or other store soon the law maker will set up a park fee at Walmart so you go shopping for food and have to pay a fee just to use the parking a lot.
Sharon says
Truck drivers need to get back to the union. Nobody gives a crap about truck drivers and there are only negative things to say about them. Each week I hear about how companies learn new ways to rip off the driver. Every driver should be paid by the hour. Every company should have to spell out exactly how much they pay and exactly what benefits they do and don’t cover, plus the costs. None of this should be a surprise on your first week of work. But it always is.
Oops, sorry you had to sit in traffic 2 hours and sit at that dock 6 hours. Nope, we don’t pay you that 8 hours.
Sharon says
If you were in an accident in that lot, the city would tell you it is private property and we don’t want to deal with it. This is the city robbing Wal-Mart. Surely there is something better they can do with their time than to harass a business.
Milton Johnston says
I’ll be so glad when September of next year gets here. I’ll retire with 42 years behind the wheel. I saw the strike in the last 70’s, I saw the steel haulers strike in the early 80’s. Your not going to get drivers to strike, and let me inform you of a Federal law. Reagan signed a law into place, after the air traffic controller’s went on strike. Organize a trucker’s strike and see how fast you wind up in jail. But no need to worry, it’ll never happen anyway. Most driver’s live paycheck to paycheck. You’ll never get them to strike. You want to shutdown the trucks, just get the tanker yankers to strike. No fuel no driving period. I’ve been saying for 41 years we need to strike. I’ve watched this industry go from a proud profession, to what it is now. And it’s anything but a proud profession. Driver’s used to stick together, not anymore. They will argue about what time it is. They talk about not having panties on over the CB. Yeah mom’s and dad’s, and kid’s listen to that driver’s. Yeah a proud profession. We got children driving trucks. Yeah 30 and 40 year old kids. If you don’t fit that category, my apologies, if you do, well you know who you are. But good luck organizing that strike, I’m walking out September of next year, for good.
Duane Felmeten says
Illinois is broke they need the money
Doc K says
Yeah Duane, you think most truck drivers are rolling in the dough? Springfield needs to find another way to make up their deficit. Maybe fire a few traffic court judges, or quit building all those expensive govt buildings. Some cities house their govt, police, social services, etc., in previously vacant shopping centers. That reduces crime, saves money, and improves the city ecomomy.
Zidri says
Unsafe for stupid people who drive way over limit on parking lot,and that’s not all, city greed play also a factor here, solution is to close all Walmarts in that stinking city.
Tony says
A-men brother…they keep taking away parking but still want their goods…by helping us to park on their lot they are saving lives by us truckers driving tired …the city and all cities need to realize this. ..without is delivering goods they won’t survive cut businesses will be forced to shut down…come on people’s think about it…no deliveries no supplies no TP, HYGENE PRODUCT, NO FUEL, NOTHING…HELP US HELP OUR SOCIETY
Brian Lusk says
So many comments…by soooo many LOSERS!

Your company provides your ELD, route, where to fuel…you can’t figure out where to park? No wonder!
Your the reason they’ll put a rail spur to Wally World.
Better call dispatch.
Timothy W Lucas says
Then by the same rules trucks block the view within city limits on all hiways and intrastate. So who was it that complained? Someone that was 4ft 7inches tall?Liberals and the broke arse state of Illinois drum up the angles don’t they? Perhaps truckers provide too much comfort and I’m thinking that you could do with a few Sears catalogs and less toilet paper. I think you have little appreciation for those that sacrafice home time, hobbies, family and graduations. I’m thinking you don’t deserve the convenience but should be assessed the fee. When we have no where to go in many small city’s we have a safe haven at Walmart usually. Otherwise it parking on a street and a ticket. We find little sympathy from you hard nosed liberals. We feel the same about you on the road when you race to change lanes and then turn in front of us again showing us you have very little common sense.
Timothy W Lucas says
From what I remember Springfield has (one) 1 truck stop north of Springfield. It is not a very big truck stop. Something these one horse town’s never remember to build is a support system. You add houses, businesses and more utilities but none of you remember to put in parking for trucks so you create your own problems then you blame trucks. God knows not a one of you comes close to or remotely near a Albert Einstein. Why do you think we end up at Walmart? Moron’s.
Anthony says
They continue making the regulations and laws tight in our industry, well they only do that because they know that not any of is well stick together and do what’s needed and that is SHUT DOWN THE TRUCKS IN A REAL STRICK! They know that most truckers are all y’all and no fight, deeply in debt, and to cowardly to stand up and SHUT down for 3 days BECAUSE the truck is too STUPID to realize that the most important element in TRANSPORTATION and LOGISTICS is the freaking driver that drives the trucks to pick up and deliver the goods that consumers consume to keep this economy moving!! WAKE-UP DRIVERS, you come together on a forum to ARGUE your point but then go jump in your truck and haul cheap freight, but will not fight for yourself but we will fight each other. We are simply backwards, people WAKE-UP and realize we have to SHUT down the industry in UNITY to make a DIFFERENCE!
Doc K says
Ok, which one of you guys are running over Walmart customers when parking on their lots? Does anyone know of any of these situations that have compromised safety by parking on a Walmart lot? Hell, I’ve been hit while parked in a truck stop, but never a scratch while at Walmart. We’re not stupid (most of us), we park way out on the lot, out of the way, and avoid causing any kind of traffic problems. Walmart’s official complaint against trucks parking, is that drivers piss on the lot, and dump/leave trash all over. Really??? Girls, ya gotta cut that out, you’re damaging our rep.
Rich says
This is a national problem. If we have mandated HOS, then the Govt needs to mandate allowable parking for drivers. If businesses receive product via semi’s then they must allow for overnight. Not just for their trucks: ie Walmart.
I appreciate those stores that allow parking. Engineers need to design new building to accommodate. The problem is public officials(city ordnance’s)perception of truckers.
We are their neighbors, friends and family. We want to spend our hard earned $’s in your community’s when we are forced off duty.
Mike Marc Dave says
I would park outback 🤷🏾♂️

Chuck McDaniel says
Now they are hassling Walmart for allowing truckers to park on their lot. Does anyone appreciate what truckers do. The sacrifices we make. Trucking Companies and Drivers need some Representation. Too bad a National Strike can’t be implemented. We are treated like a Malignant Tumor on america’s back side. Yet some wonder why there’s a Driver Shortage. I’ve been driving Commercial Combination Vehicles since March 1985. I drove for Roadway Express for sixteen years in the Central States Conference. Our Pension is being threatened. We are so divided as a Professional Entity, society is Pot Shoting us at their discression. I read about two or three weeks ago, this jerk off had a collision with a tractor trailer. Jumped the median collided with the tractor during come inclimate weather. They want to charge the truck driver for being on the hiway during bad weather. Since there was a weather advisory the truck driver should not have been on the hiway, earning a living. I hope this will be my Last CDL with all endorsements. I got five years now before expiration.
David Adams says
As a share holder in Walmart, just band the trucks , simple as that

You should be CEO with those words of wisdom.
Tom says
This is just a way for the city to get money either from a Vendor or a Trucking company that is all it is.
After the Gov made all trucking go onto ELD they also stopped Truckers from parking over night in the only areas we could find. I personally was told no parking on a off/on ramp by a GA State Officer and had to do a 1.5 hour safehaven move.
If Walmart is willing to let Truckers park over night and it just comes down to painting some “extended” lines that tells me someone is just using the bulling card and nothing else otherwise there is still the “blocking visibility” with or without a line. Remember Springfield IL voted these persons into Office to blackmail and raise their taxes what does others expect?
Jax says
Leaving the truck soon and leaving it up to those who don’t know any better. This is getting terrible out there for truckers.
Peewee says
All Walmart properties are not owned by Walmart but are leased property. The land owner can say no trucks and Walmart can’t do anything about it.
Only the fuel hauler need to strike..can’t move without fuel. But we are basically Government property with the CDL’S. They would just have Military Personnel deliver fuel to keep the country going.
Joe says
It’s time Wal Mart to relocate that store to anther city. That welcomes trucker revenue. And give us some respect. Springfield.IL. will go down like a trash can.
Pablored says
I understand we’re all truck drivers but not all of us know the meaning of a truck driver .I’ve been driving truck for a decade now. I learned new stuffs everyday from good fellow truck driver. The main problem with a lot of truck driver is they can’t say no to a load. I had ticket in juliet county IL last for $3200 the clerk at the weight station said I was overweight on my trailer axle .when I got off to the next truck stop and weight my truck it was all lies. I still have to pay the ticket after hired a lawyer and went to court . Since then I dont care how much a load pay I don’t go to Illinois.
Garry THOMPSON says
I think any business that ships/receives freight in any shape or form should have to provide/make available facilities to accommodate delivery vehicles/drivers including safe/adequate overnight parking or 24/7 receiving. To expect drivers or their companies to have facilities at every possible consignee facility is idiotic. Wal-mart is private property. I don’t understand how any city/town/municipality can dictate policy for a situation like this. Just shows us how twisted our society has become!!!!!
Brian Johnson says
It’s always drivers wanting to break 10 he’s, which is the biggest problem we face, but what about those of us that need to do shopping? They still don’t consider that when they impose no parking rules. I agree that they’ll probably throw the drivers under the bus at the end of the day because it’s easier for Walmart to appease the govt regs with over compliance than to fight for what’s morally right and fair. How many of you guys worked for companies that said, IN WRITING, “safety first” only for YOU to be personally repremanded for violating one of the pointless hos rules trying to find parking at a certain time of day/night? You eventually found a place”safely”, without incident, but were chastised and possibly went through disciplinary actions because it “wasn’t compliant”. Soon these policy pushers will regulate and rule themselves into a corner, but what can we do then?
Deaconblues62 says

I used to pull Walmart Freight and I’ve gone to survival Walmart where they provide it parking lots for trucks painted on the ground. The city turned around and said that they didn’t want trucks in their City and Bandit. We are getting more and more trucks and less places to park out there what do these people want us to do.
Greg says
They let trucks park at the Wal Mart S Ctr here too at first. And they even behaved like humans for awhile. Then many drivers started leaving half empty piss bottles, trash, half eaten hamburgers, even taking a fresh turd under their rigs just before dawn.
Drivers soon got the boot from parking there. The manager even put up 12′ foot high crossbars to make sure drivers didn’t try it. And it’s been that way since….
Wayne says
I guess no one wants gas food or anything else without us good luck
