It seems with the price of fuel is on the rise well over 3 per gallon these brokers are not budging on thier prices. I keep hearing repeatidly how they keep moving thier freight for next to nothing and its almost as if the freight is getting cheaper...
Whats to come this summer as when fuel is predicted to reach 4+ per gallon, how the hell do you get these cheap ### brokers to give FSC?

brokers and fsc go together like a metric nut and a standard bolt. sure they are related , but they are from two different sides of the world. most claim it is already in the rate. two words for you one this one, good luck. free advice and worth every penny, johnny

Just got fuel west memphis $3.189 pr! If the rates not right dont haul it!
Listen brokers are getting paid so should you! -
Brokers loved that $5.00 fuel two years ago.. The rates were better then and more reflected high fuel, and they were getting their standard 8 - 10 %. I honestly dont think they are making out nearly as well today. As for FSC, you can try to negociate a little, but dont expect much. There needs to be a bigger demant for trucks for the rates to go up. Demand for truck is key for higher rates, moreso than the price of fuel.

I cant beleive guys are pulling freight for under 1.00 or less per mile, that makes me sick. I completly understand freight from certian areas pays less, but 800 miles for 650.00 come on... These idioits are killing the all of us....

Unless you have hauled the same load before you have no way of knowing if the price has been adjusted for fuel. you take it or leave it if the rate fits your numbers, very simple. Brokers will keep offering $1.00 a mile freight as long as someone takes it.

We had brokers all day today offering 2.20 to 2.83 per mile I bet we had 40 or 50 calls, a day all week rates are going up don't be shy to tell them you can't haul it for free.
