First Dice now Oscar.
I tell you what.
If this works for these two naysayers I will order 50 units through our office.
I have been reluctant to do so because I don't want to be the butt of joke.
You can probably tell I want to believe but want to keep it secret so as not to be laughed at by others at our small company. -
I usually take the southern route thru Atlanta and Birmingham, but I do have the option to go thru the gorge, Knoxville and Chattanooga that is the about the same mileage and close to same fuel used.
With exception to weather and traffic being my only variables on my trip, everything is the same.Last edited: Mar 31, 2012

Now that the EcoTaz was installed right after I filled up we can start the comparision of before and after.
The first entire Dedicated run using EcoTaz was a little disappointing because I was really wanting to get better fuel mileage from such a small investment. I was really wanting to report some higher than average fuel mileage numbers, but this was pretty much a typical dedicated run when compared to the last 3 months of my fuel numbers.
Hopefully this dedicated run was just a fluke and maybe the next one will be better. Due to a death in the family I will be home till next week when I have another dedicated run to hopefully see some positive results.
Note: I didn't notice any difference in performance with a load on pulling a hill, but that does not mean there might have been a slight difference too small to notice.
Also you guys interested in getting on the NASTC Fleet One fuel program, my actual cost for this fuel transaction through NASTC was $490.81 and not the $515.44 pump price for a savings of $24.63 on this one fill up. -
Thank you! -
Thanks for the report Dice1,'preciate you giving it a try
. Look forward to your reports. My condolences to you and your family.
Dice1 Thanks this. -
I'll read this thread later and maybe find the answer, but it looks like it's installed in the return to the fuel tanks. How or what is this supposed to do? Haven't read any of this yet, just clicked on link from another thread.

Unhooked fuel line coming off the filter in this before picture and.....
hooked up one end of tubing to EcoTaz Eco 5 connected to fuel filter with looped around back through Eco 5 back through tubing to fuel line.
The fuel now goes thru a loop with EcoTaz Eco 5 before going back into fuel line after it leaves the fuel filter. -
This IFTA Report was done before I installed the EcoTaz Eco-5 and is to verify my fuel numbers before I installed the EcoTaz Eco-5 on 3/29/12.
For those skeptical about my fuel mileage numbers before I installed the EcoTaz Eco-5, here is my IFTA schedule "A" page that shows my average for the first quarter this year as 9.16 mpg and I am getting a nice refund from the NC Department of Revenue of $395.43 because I bought the majority of my fuel in NC.
I called the people (Carolina Independent Trucker's Services) who do my IFTA filing and take care of all my permits for this to be faxed to me today.
The 9.16 mpg is almost identical to my fuel gauges average of 9.15 mpg, but everybody knows IFTA mileage is not from fuel stop to fuel stop like fuel gauges is.
The 9.12 mpg with the EcoTaz Eco-5 on my first dedicated trip this month is right about the same as my first quarter averages per IFTA and fuel gauges.Last edited: Apr 5, 2012

Has anyone tested this with a Mack?
I must say, if what I'm reading here is true, this thing should be installed on every truck from the manufacturers. It seems to be incredible.
