Remember that, despite having to obtain your hazmat for Landstar, you're not obligated to run any at all. Also, before I left dry van to pull a flatbed, I was putting $2000+ a week in my pocket running right around the 3000 mile mark running east of the Rockies and mostly east of the plains. Agent based companies may be worth another look, in your case.

P.S. Although we have Qualcomms, I can't remember ever getting a message from corporate that didn't have to do with a safety Thursday promotion once a month (totally optional) or congratulating someone on their retirement. Corporate here is very hands off and has always been very personable with me.

A quick look at the lane match over the last 2 months reveals quite a bit off freight out of and into your home area within about 150 mile radius.
