About how much would you need for a down payment on a 20,000-30,000 USD rig ?

Steer clear of them. I got a 2009 freightliner cascadia from them in august. I went to pick up the truck in Tifton Georgia. First I had to take it to the freightliner dealer around the corner to get it dyno tested. You have to pay for that yourself. Still don't know why that's my responsibility. I get the dyno and things seemed fine. And i have a mechanic friend who tells me that a dyno test doesn't really give you any info on problems that may exist. Then back to lonely mountain and see a couple codes come on. I tell them and they take the truck to freightliner to have it checked. They brought the truck back and parked it. I then assumed everything was taken care of by freightliner. I proceed to take the truck and started driving up to Atlanta. Within a few days of leaving Lost Mountain. I drove approximately 200 miles. The truck started acting up and the codes were back on. So, I called Fraud Mountain and told them I had the same codes and I was taking it to McDonough Freightliner and let them check it out. Cost me $1200 bucks and Lost Mountain no assistance what so ever. Beginning of a major nightmare. Then I had to pay to get sensors replaced and cleaned. After about a couple months just before the warranty that comes with the truck ran out. Seriously, I had 48 miles left on the warranty. The injectors were bad, the injector tubes, rocker arms and countless other issues. It still cost me $1400 with the warranty. To make a long story short. Not even 11 months and all the major repairs I had done to the truck without any help from Lone Fraud Mountain and the bs account manager Mike! The engine went in the truck in Lake City Florida and I had it towed to Southern truck and trailer repair. They found that the engine was gone in the truck. I called Mike at Stoned Mountain and I toLD him and basically he left me with the option of fixing it myself or walking away. Less than a year and this crap company has not a care in the world. Stay away from them. I've talked to quite a few more people with similar stories. They're planning a class action lawsuit against Lone Mountain. Hope you heed the warning!

i've had my lone mountain truck for 4 over years and put 500,000 miles on it, it now has 100,008,800 on it and still haven't had a major repairdunchues, BoostedTeg, gerardo1961 and 3 others Thank this. -
It's almost seems like a lot of drivers who buy a used truck think that it's just going to magically not have anything wrong with it or breakdown, especially when 95% of problems could be found with a THOROUGH inspection.boggles my mind

yup..... i spent about $2,000 having mine checked 4 shops.....
TruckDuo Thanks this. -
It's a used Company truck that you are buying, there are going to be repairs that need to be done. See if a bank will treat you any better! I had to inframe my Lone Mountain Truck at 675,000. Got the truck back after 3 weeks and was working for 2 weeks before I had to take the truck back to Cummins. I was using 1 gallon of oil every thousand miles. Come to find out the new head they installed was leaking oil like crazy into the cylinders, valve seals weren't installed!. Down another 3 weeks I called Lone Mountain, showed them the repair bills and they moved that months payment to the end of the loan. Quite nice of them if you ask me!

Lol, why is it his. Option to get a dyno. Welcome to truck ownership, just proves why its not for everyone. Funny how its always the other guys fault, or the dealers. You should havetaken it back to them instead of freightliner in Mcdonough. Did anywhere in the contract say theygurantteed x amountif mikes before a problem?
