It's a 2009 660 with a 550 cummins, 13 spd, 493,000, 336 gears, 72 inch bunk, single bunk but adds more storage, half flaring, new rubber all the way around ,dealer will kick in 3 years added engine protection. $70,000
Seems in line with other trucks I priced. I also have a 2007 century that they will do a pay off on which other places I taked with had me $4,000 upside down in the truck due to the fact that it's a #### freightliner.
On the other hand I found another 660 with a 86 inch bunk with the same miles on it with a 475 cummins with a 13 spd ,336 rears for $79,500 but they have me 3-4 grand in the red for trade in.
I really didn't want a 550 but I guess I can have it cut back to a 475! I had them check the computer on the fuel which came out to 6.1 for the life of the truck.
To much for this truck?

Cutting it back would be great for decreasing fuel mileage. As far as which truck, not to be a dick but, seventy K $$$$ for a used truck is way too much money not all that difficult to find more truck than you need for half that or less. And the year model is a huge red flag due to the emissions systems on that truck, that year is among the worst egr/dpf had to offer. Couldn't give me either one of those trucks.
MNdriver, Ruthless, 48Packard and 1 other person Thank this. -
May want to check around more, try looking on the truck trader online.

That truck will end up being worth exactly what someone pays for it.
Never been an O/O, but have looked into it a great deal. I agree...I think you can do better.
Good luck! -
Straight forward is what I'm looking for thanks!
I have this 07 century with a 515 det in it that runs like crap and gets 5.5 mpg which I put over $20,000 in it last year. Every weekend you have to work on this det/freightliner money bucket pc of you know what. Det makes so much noise that it drives me crazy. I was on a two day run last week and I couldn't wait to get the blank out of it... Once I got home and parked it I got and ran to my car! LOL -
48Packard Thanks this.

I would never buy a truck with any of the emission crap on it. 70K is alot of money for something that could be in the shop costing you even more money in lost revenue let alone the repair bill. I know you said they would kick in 3 years of engine protection but some times that is just a sales pitch because of the fine print and what they really cover might just surprise you. You can find a decent older truck with no emission stuff and be money ahead.
V8SuperDog, aiwiron, rollin coal and 2 others Thank this. -
Already stated that.. Because it's a freightliner I'll be 3-4 grand in the red on trade-in. This is the 2nd freightline I've had in 30 years and both times I ended up paying someone to take them off my hands. You would have thought I would have learned the 1st time! LOL. I bought this freighliner to haul containers with but after 1.5 years I,m no longer hauling containers and need something a little nicer. -
It is just my thing but I never want own a truck that has been run as a team. And with those miles that is what they did.

As you stand in the red, but cut 10k off the price and how far would you be in the hole was what I was trying to get across but sometimes I fail at communicating, I think you could do a better price for what you want is all.
