    Skateboardman.....

I know how brokers like to get down,Its no Secret, Hence why I use their services on a limited basis as a Backhaul(never liked that term)....

besides, if your customer service skills are Honed...You Can Handle Most 3pl's......many Of them think carriers dont know certain Lanes/Rates

As For Being happy on What you get..GREAT! You have thr right attitude...Many Folks in this Industry take what they get...

Im still Not very Convinced that you Understand The Concept of......100%

Because If you Really Knew...you would say "MAN,All these years and they Been Cutting that Much from the top"....

Even Though you are Happy What You are Getting........its More than just the Rate You got, It becomes 'personal' when you find How 'truthful' they have been with you

Last thing You want to be Sir is in Denial of the Truth

I understand the concept well, I used to run 8 trucks exclusively on direct freight. even had a couple of trucks leased to a competitor , even hired them a couple of times to haul my own loads.

as I say , I don't really worry about whose 100 per cent we are operating from, if I get the rate I want , I don't concern myself with what the other guy is getting, thing is where I am leased now, I am perfectly content.

I simply don't let myself fret over who gets what or how much, I really don't care how much anyone is cutting from the top.

funny thing is when I ran the 8 trucks, 6 guys were leased on to me. every other carrier in the same business their guys averaged 1.75, my guys averaged 2.40 AND I paid for a hotel room every night they were gone , yep even for a lease operator, and they still thought I was screwing them, lol.

its the nature of the beast , always to worry about what the other guy is getting , instead of actually concentrating on what you are getting.

    there is a huge difference,

I can get it pretty close by looking how it is loaded. Tough to guesstimate when pallets are different weights and when pushing close to 80k. I know for the price of a scale ticket it is piece of mind when coming up to an open coop. I have never used an axle gauge and know nothing about them. Will have to look into that and the price of something like that.

Okay. I'm not sure exactly know much I would pay using the nastc card the best I could. I know I won't be saving a $1/gal. I have heard on the discounts being from a few cents off - up to like $0.50/$0.60 off the increase price at TA's and imdependents..that is why I figured 3.80/gal..not sure how accurate that is though with roughly $4/gal around the us..hopefully less than 3.8 but I figure that is a good higher end number

LOL, I also scratched my head quite a bit on that wondering how bad I screwed myself out of money.

Would payments on a business loan be tax deductible?
