I can see making that kind of coin hauling heavy loads and wide loads. But no way out of California and no way you'll be home nightly.

I personally think one third of gross would be more realistic to what he nets

If he doesn't leave California, he can run under California hours of service rules and could be running 80 hours in those 5 days...

Possible. Ive found the best thing to do when you got a trucking gig you`re happy with is "keep your mouth shut" where other truckers are concerned. This is especially true with local gigs and even more so with containers. P.S.- not netting 2k per week but am home nightly with weekends off.

I think you're wrong. From southern CA up to WA there is a lot of freight moving up and down that lane. And over to AZ and Vegas. Might have to mix it up with some overnights or couple to three nights out and back and go with the home nightly as you find. An outsider looking in I see the opportunity there. All a person has to do is find the niche doesn't have to be heavy haul. The catch being here most people don't even think it possible, of the ones who do most won't ever figure it out or undercapitalized fall to the wayside, to the patient few who will find the needs. All we know about OP is he has money on his mind usually a recipe for disaster.

I heard one night at a truckstop that a trucker heard from a trucker that some truckers say they are making more than they actually are. This could be true but I am not sure. Just food for thought.

To the OP….never post numbers because you learn what other O/O are making by saying, "there is now way he is doing that and making that much" saying its impossible…sheeesh…...

A guy netting $2K a week will never tell you he is. If he does, that deal will be lost when someone else figures it out.
