Ive been a driver for 5 years. No accidents, no tickets. 2 years ago, my wife and i decided to go home and get local jobs. While between companies, i went to a party and ate some cookies (later found out they were laced with thc). Being a former smoker i was not bothered by the experience but because of complications unknown to me (as i waited 29 days and flushed my system) i failed a pre employment drug screen. Instant black ball from my career for a buzz equivalent to a beer during my time off. I am told if i can find a small company or owner operator that will overlook my DAC i may be able to drive again. Any advice in this matter would be much appreciated.

carroll fulmer would hire you unless something has changed in the past 10 months. I don't know where you live though. Oh and I highly doubt one cookie stays in your system for 29 days and if it did next time get a home test before you go piss in a cup for someone

Whats the SAP process?
-
When you test positive or refuse a test, you are not permitted to perform safety-sensitive duties until you have seen a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) and successfully completed the return-to-duty process, which includes a Federal return-to-duty drug and/or alcohol test. Working in a safety-sensitive position before successfully completing the return-to-duty process is a violation of the regulations.
