Oh I know, the only thing consistent is being inconsistent. I was in FL all week and not one of my locals had anything. That's why I'd do it, too. They'll call me tomorrow when I'm in NC.
is it worth it?

Unless the truck owner lies to you about the gross pay he or she is losing money.
Their business common sense is way off because fuel, fixed costs plus maintenance will put them a few hundred bucks in the red at the end of each week. Unless it's a practical joke or a misunderstanding, I'd question their sanity or just consider them a charitable organization for a time being.
Why would they pay 3500 if they could easily find some experienced yard jockey for 1500 or even 1000 a week. If my skepticism does not have any grounds, maybe it's a truck that runs on water or you have been hired by Bill Gates, then you certainly have struck gold as long as it's a steady gig and you can put up with routine labor like that.281ric Thanks this. -

I just wish I could be the one doing it because I would be home daily. I know I would park my truck to do it. I do know what the details are and I am not doubting the honesty of RC and BBB but I do think the customer is crazy for doing this when they could just hire somebody but big companies like that have money to burn.

Them can be some long days but for $50+ an hour after expenses... That's a no brainer

Hi rc, it sounds ok, if it was close to home, but, for me, notels are awful places, and that 200 mile commute is rough, not to mention eating out all the time. I did a job for 2 years with a long commute, and that sucked, not to mention burning out my minivan. Yard spotting is kind of a long day, pretty boring. Just sayin'.

Rolling no brainer man I would go for it even if its two weeks since you have nothing to lose.
Also,I dont know why people worry about 200 miles twice a week when we drive 3000 miles a week.
400 miles thats abour 60 to 70 dollars a week so you are investing $70 dollars a week plus motel and food to make 712 dollars a day.lol
travel expence=$70 dollars
motel= 5 days = $400
food= 100
total expence= $570
total gross = $ 3560
net profit = $ 2990 a week
those who are saying its too good to be true i disagreed wit you because I did myself this kind of deal too many times but it does NOT last long about two months and They are auto suppliers especially when they are behind.
I would NOT surprise if its Nissan place outside of Nashville or Ford in louisville suppliers because they always behind this time of the year.DrivingForceBehindYou Thanks this. -
Sounds to me like they are going to want you to work as an independent contractor. You pay fuel, probably maintainance etc. out of your %, then you get whats left. You would not get taxes deducted and would have to make quartely tax payments to the IRS and maybe your state. Plus pay both halves of Social Security and Medicare at the end of the year. Be careful with this and ask a lot of ????

You'll get some exercise for sure.
