    Will they be open tomorrow?

I'll be passing there tomorrow afternoon.

Somehow I doubt Sunday would be a good day to try to get this resolved.

And no Dog-C,. I did not end up in jail. I said I had to leave before I ended up in jail,.. hence I wanted to drop this guy like a bad habit,.. violence,.. anger,... awful things I wanted to do to him,.. but left before my temper exploded as I promised my wife not to end up in jail while away from home,.. :biggrin_25511:

    Thanks guys.

Are you going to be passing through the loves that you purchased the tires from? If so maybe you will have better luck there

Unfortunately no,.. I bought them in Kentucky. I need to be in Salt Lake by Tuesday morning,.. and I'm already west of Knoxville in Tn on i40. Would put me too far out of route to turn that way now.

Shouldnt matter,.. I have the original receipt here with me. Any Loves should honor the warranty,.. same is if I went to any other national tire chain.

well, you can really either flip the bill and forget about it or put up a fight.

I would say the good thing you have here is that you have a number of avenues to seek. You can call the Love's that sold you the tires and ask what kind of warranty they came with. You can call Love's corporate and explain you took the tires recommended when the ones you wanted weren't available and now there is a problem. You can call Aeolus and ask why their tires are no good for a spread axle, and if they say they are, then ask why one of their dealers sold them to you and another is failing to fix the problem. etc... Any one of these people should have the ablitiy to fix this.

According to Aeolus website,.. I should be able to take the trailer to any "Authorized" dealer and as long as the tread has not gone below 50% they will replace the tire plus the cost of labor. So I may have an avenue there also.

Hopefully the tire hangs in there and DOT doesnt pull me in for an inspection between now and then. No wires or cords showing,.. doesnt seem to be any structural damage,.. just the rubber on the side wall separating. Its about 4 inches in length. I'd take a pic, but its dark and all I have is my cell phone. Night time pics suck with my phone,.. even with flash.

Before I worked in trucking I worked for a major corporation. 1 thing I learned (being on the other side during court hearings) is document everything. Take pictures during the tire install with a brief description (even if it seems legit) keep your receipts. Take pictures of the faulty tire. And 1 important thing document everything. Once big company thinks you have all your ducks in a row and have it well documented they will usually take care of you long before it gets to court. It's unfortunat but that is the world we live in today
Once you take these pics email them to yourself or someone you trust. This puts a time stamp on them. I had appeared in court many times. When someone had pictures with an email time stamp attached my company would never allow it to go any further in court they would resolve the issue immediately. I know it seems like a pain I the $&* to take a pic while someone is replacing a tire and to keep the receipt bit those 2 things can save the day. For the extra 30 seconds it is well worth it.

You tell a major corporation tha let your have these issues that are a serious danger to the public well documented and time stamped the tend to bend over backwards to keep you quiet

Small claims here is 50.00 to file, for max 4000.00. Most cases are settled before they get to court! If they put the wrong tires on then they owe you replacements!

Digital pictures all have a digital time stamp inside their code. We cant see it,.. you can look at the digital signature of any picture. In windows just right click and look at the properties. Will tell you what kind of camera took the picture, the date, often the location may be included, other info as well,.. but more to do with software and nerdy kind of info we truckers wouldnt be interested in. Something like Photoshop can look even deeper and provide hidden watemarks and DRM that is often hidden to copy protect images.

    But yeah,.. I got ya.

I've already taken pictures and sent them to my wife. And I am OCD anal about documentation.
