switching gears a bit here, thanks to all who replied to my other thread. folks are thinking of buying the truck now as a farm expense, (better rates, tax writeoff) we need a truck any way, and selling our small truck we currently use. we would then start a business llc and lease the truck to the llc when the farm is not using it. would the farm or the llc need the operating authority and the dot# etc? its confusing I suppose, gonna talk to our accountant next week and get his thoughts on the matter. we would probly sell our small truck and buy a small reasonably priced end dump for the farm, and a flat or dropdeck thru the llc. no bashing please, just constructive ideas and such. thanks
