Is it worth it being an O/O anymore with all new regs?

I'll have 2 years in this industry on the 20th of this month, that will also be 2 years as an O/O. I entertained the thought of a company driver, and had the perfect opportunity to lease on and get set up with a truck. I would do it again every day the same way, but that's just me. I'm also willing to go into NYC and the northeast on any given day so........

I had the chance to sell my truck at the end of last year. So of course I thought about selling and going back to my former employer where I had been for the 8 years prior to buying my truck. It came down to me writing out a list of pros and cons for each and making a choice. I decided that after being on my own that I'd probably be unhappy going back to a job that I loved.
