I have it on my Peterbilt.... Haven't had to use it yet, so I'm not sure how good it is. To me is what just the peice of mind of knowing that I was covered.

I bought my sterling with a Premium 2000 war on it. She had a bad throw out bearing. First I took it to local shop on Rt 30 in PA. I called Prem 2000 they told me to have the local shop call them and they would fax them a packet. They wanted the local shop to take pictures of the damage. Prem2000 told me i had to authorize the local shop to tear down the trans to look at the clutch. The local shop told me they didnt want to get into the project because they had trouble getting paid from a couple of other after market warranty companies. not Prem2000 but they had trouble before. So i had to take the Truck to the Kenworth Dealer in New stanton pa off of US70. So i took it there they guy there said he had 3 people with a Prem 2000 war and all 3 of them had their Prem 2000 warranty not cover what was broken and had to pay out of pocket. So i said well just try to get it worked out with prem 2000 because i knew i needed a new shaft and a fly wheel resurface, both of which are clearly stated in the warranty that they are covered. However Prem 2000 didnt cover them because they said "your throw out bearing going bad is what caused your shaft and fly wheel to break, and the throw out bearing isnt covered" So i had to pay $2600 for the work at the KW dealer, which would have cost me around $1700 at the local shop but i kept the warranty hoping that it might cover the next thing, who knows.

i had a similar situation with a car warranty

in 1998 leased a new gmc pickup 60 month lease a write off for the buisness truck had a 3/36000 warranty at about 34 months leasing co asks if i want an extended warranty they will just add it to the lease payment at about 3 1/2 years and 27000 miles tranny goes . warranty co says find a shop and have it removed and dissasembled and we'll send out an inspector to look at it which i did after a week the guy comes out and said thats a pre existing condition we won't cover that pre existing condition????

had put on new tires a week before told the shop to take them off they still had the old ones and put them back on ,removed the cap off the bed the stainless sidebars my tags and put the in pieces tranny in a box in the back called the leasing co and told them to come and get their truck they told me it would affect my credit . after two months they came and got it but had to pay the garage storage fees that were almost $1000 i took them to court for breech of contract and they said they are not the warranty company and the judge said they acted as the agent therefore they were responsible .
i looked up the warranty co on ripoff report and there was many complaints and they were banned from doing buisness in michigan never again will i buy an extended warranty un less it is from the vehicle manufacturer

Caution, caution, caution on buying extended warranties. There are, all of a sudden, 3 different companies selling/advertising extended warranties on TV for automobiles. They claim your car can have up to 250,000 miles and be 15 years old. They say you can have it fixed anywhere and the warranty company will pay direct to the mechanic with no deductable and if you sell the car, it is automatically transfered to the new owner. Sorry, I don't buy it. I'll say this, if you have an extended warranty and try to make a claim, you will go through heck and high water trying to get the warranty company to pay. They will weasel out anyway they can. :Driver:

I don't know how extended warranties or aftermarket warranties work with big trucks but in my experience with personal vehicles they are a waste of money and total garbage. Extended warranties on new cars are extra profit in the dealer's pocket it's like taking candy from a baby for them. They hardly ever have to pay out anything on them. You might get a lemon new car here and there but modern cars just dont crap out all that much and chances are good if you had trouble free miles under the standard 3yrs/36,000 mile factory warranty you're gonna have 100,000 trouble free miles from there on out. Aftermarket warranty companies, much like the dealer/factory, also arent in the business of losing money. They sell warranties because they know most people wont have problems and the ones that do they can nit pick and get out of paying simply because they know the customer will most likely be in a bind needing their vehicle, pay for the repairs out of their own pocket, and chalk it up as something to never purchase again (aftermarket warranty). Now come on here telling me how an aftermarket warranty or extended warranty saved you thopusands and I will tell you with certainty that you are a very small percentage of the people who purchase these warranties and get any real value out of them. 99% of people get screwed on warranty issues or never have an issue at all and just pee'd their money away for nothing...

i have the prem 2000 warranty,it was already on my truck when i bought it.the turbo and injectors were covered for 100,000 miles and i lost two injectors.it only cost me $100 dollars.i had to pay the deductable.but the engine, trans and rears are covered up til 1,000.000 miles.i have not had a problem with them so far.but the injector deal would have cost me $1800 alone.

I'm looking at NTP. If its not too expensive, I'm going to try someone as long as they have a towing provision. 1 tow can bankrupt you !!! And I have a twin turbo Cat so it could be a waste but it could keep you from going under.

A friend of mine called me tonight and is having issues. He has the premium 2000 warranty and went to petro to have his truck serviced and had a bunch of metal shavings in his front differential. Anybody had an experience like this and dealt with premium 2000? Any chance they will cover these repairs?
