Got my truck, 7 year old Volvo with 707k+ miles on it lol. Last guy who had this truck was a slob, it's gonna take me a week to scrub it clean. I have named my truck. It is the '#### it you stupid piece of garbage SHIFT ALREADY STOP LURCHING LIKE A DRUNKEN WOMBAT' haha They let me go home til backing school monday which is nice, been gone 6 weeks. Gonna leave out Sunday evening for Lexington. Hehe made people at LOU mad. Dropped off my relay load they gave me to get me up north and snagged a SPANKIN new trailer, as in 8 more added to it's number and i wouldn't be able to take it :3

Congrats... now you can beat it up until it goes on the chopping block. Once you get to backing school (In LEX I assume) Jon can find out approx when you might get a new(er) truck. Jon Hawk is a GREAT instructor. You are going to learn a lot from him. I was up there last week as a matter of fact. Met the students and had lunch with them.
Tell him Craig from NFK says hey! -
Yeah I'll be in LEX for backing school. They need to fix my cabinet latches for me, last dude broke them and they swing around when the truck moves. I got whacked in the head a couple times. Is there usually a good crow of people at LEX for backing? Will give me something to do after class ends for the day. Also do you know any place we can drive to for food? Wasn't able to get my truck fridge/cooler this weekend so I'll need some sustenance

You will be considered off duty while there, so there is a Walmart and other stores close; also a few good restaurants. You'll be able to bob-tail where you want to go. There are usually at least 3 or 4 people there with you, so if your truck is in the shop, you can ride together. As for something to do... You'll be left to your own devices, on that. So bring a book and/or laptop. At least you'll have time to really clean your truck out, as they will have all the cleaning supplies you need. But all this will be explained to everyone once you arrive at class.

Sweet, are the restaurants easy to get a botail into? And, I figure, with people being there doing the school with me, I'll at least have some people to hang out with and chat with. Not like we'll be going anywhere. Do they get you home after the school? I'm only going to be 180 miles from the NDY yard :3
