I was running from London to Mississauga with a heavy load last Thursday when I became involved with an insane driver from Layal Transport. There was a breakdown on the shoulder so I signalled to get into the middle lane, but had this Layal truck beside me. He did not back off or speed up to let me over. I slowed down, and he also slowed, it could have been because we were on a grade, but whatever. We passed the breakdown and as he was passing me, I looked over and he is texting, not looking at the road at all. I gave a tap on the horn and when he looked over, I gestured for him to keep his eyes on the road. He instantly lost it, and pushed me off the highway at the Woodstock Enroute center, literally pushed me off, had I not moved he would have struck my truck. He then came to a stop in front of me on the off ramp, and because I was hauling 82 K pounds, I had to pull off onto the shoulder. Once I was forced to a stop, the coward took off, not caring he not only put me in danger, but also cars that were getting off at the plaza.

He is a middle eastern, about 30 years old, tall, thin with short cropped hair driving a T-600, white with orange and brown trim. If you see him out there, stay away form him, he is literally insane. Hopefully he will get yanked off the road before he kills someone. I contacted the OPP and his terminal to inform them of his cowardly, dangerous actions.

The industry is getting ####tier by the day, boys.

Thanks guys, I have ordered a dash cam and should have it by next week. Sucks that it has come to this, but better safe than sorry. Too bad that we can not even trust our own out there on the roads, was bad enough when it was just the four-wheelers you had to be wary of, but with the influx of new truck drivers who drive like they are in the indy 500 and have rage issues, now professional courtesy is becoming a thing of the past.
