I GOT IT!!!!
One bird pearch antenna mount for Volvo trucks.Looks like a 6 inch long rod with a treaded end.
One 18 ft of good coax.
One 5 1/2 ft (or 5 ft ) firestick fiberglass antenna.
Take one of the bolts that holds the cab fairng on from the back of the sleeper then screw the bird perch mount in,i did it up high and not on of the lower bolts. Then just run your coax however you want, make sure that the antenna sticks up above the top of the sleeper as far as it can with out hitting anything. (have not hit a bridge yet with my 5 1/2 ft antenna) Say hello to 1.4 SWR and no more noise! So far with a 25 watt cobra 29 im getting 5 miles transmit and 20 miles receive.
The fiberglass is the only antenna that will work like this because every other one has way to much reflect and your SWR will be off scale. If you must have a 1.1 SWR then you may be able to trim a little off of the antenna to get it but you wont gain a thing.

I saw a Cascadia that someone had used the Volvo bird perch on the other day as well. He had it mounted on the front side of the mirror going into the door though. He said he got his down to 1.3 which is pretty good also. I imagine it would work on about any truck if you can find a mounting location and are using a fiberglass antenna.

For all intent and purpose, my cb works fine in my 387. I just listen 99% of the time and most often have it turned way down or off.
