MD/surrounding states CB shops

So in other words. DTB tuned your radio correctly but since it was not over modulated and blaring loud you went to some hack that would show you what you wanted to see on the meters and also to get you that "loud and proud" comment from other truckers that know about as much as you do. DTB does not do those BS mods that you wasted your money on and with the

statement I'm sure he ( Reese ) told you, that was not the way to do it and he could make that radio walk the dog so he went in and removed parts/added parts or bent things that should have been left along,and you bought into that crap hook line and sinker, in order to get what you thought you should be getting out of your radios. When in the end you only got riped off,you said he was cheaper? You get what you pay for!

You boys want your radio done right then take it to DTB,if you dont care then take it to whoever you want!

 

You take it to this guy and you can be sure that its been butchered,i have been inside his....LOL....radio shop/hotel room and after seeing what he uses to work on radios i would not let him change the wheel on my kids little red wagon!

But you go on and let him do your radio,just be sure to post a close up pic of the inside of the radio so we can all see what NOT to do to a radio!

CT...you sound just like the guy that recently.walked on and said "o...you don't have any radios"...referring to the fact that his selection is very small. You call HIM a hack job...LOL, is LOVE the see to hear your DTB "supertuned" radio compared to mine! FYI- Reese leaves the AMC *in* unlike others that clip it to "give u more power" aka garbage/noise! DTB told me in another post that he puts in finals that HE feels the radio can handle, that tells me the largest finals are not always used. Also, Reese uses almost exactly the same equipment used by DTB...he just happens to be better with it! I know I know, DTB does all your work so therefore he is the best. As you have indicated, you never gave Reese a chance due to his location and the fact that his shop isn't set up in a fashion that caters to comforts. I have ppl offer to buy my radios on nearly a daily basis...that certainly isn't because they have been hacked! It's because they sound amazing! And FYI- I'm nowhere close to being over-modulated...I rarely run wide open unless the convo starts getting 15+ mi away! And even then (100% modulation and wide open) DTB has given me a radio check report of "clean, clear, great signal, etc"... And not only DTB...I look for any defect I can find by calling out to nearly everysigle "radio shop" I pass. Heck, R&R in DE couldn't believe the clean, clear, strong sound I had when I went by them last week...and they are VERY picky HAM guys! Not to mention even they gave Reese a "great tech" label! So, just because DTB handed you back a clean 40 watt Cobra 29 doesn't necessarily mean he's the best! Sorry your so narrow minded...but that's your lose not mine!
