Wolfman Cb Shop in Ga, stay away.

No limiter is like no governor on a motor. You can floor it all the time and wreck the engine, or drive it nicely. Mic gain is the gas pedal. Learn how it sounds and run it below negative peak induced distortion. Although most people won't do this so leaving it in is a good idea for most.

 

me and my buddy stopped to have his radio fixed, got his radio fixed and I walked out with a free bible... both of us very happy....I have since stopped by and had my ant. tuned,,,, got nothing bad to say ........I will return if I need future work......my 2 $....

my husband and i got a new cb and mike, were very impressed, still are, he talks 12 miles and is heard loud and clear, and they prayed for us as well, awesome people

 

Never done business with him, but yeah. Compared to many other shops that spam ch 19, he's got good, clear audio and gets out about 20 miles.

 

then whats the point of clipping the limiter if your going to use the mike gain to tame the over modulation? dont clip it, set the radio at 100% mod, leave the mike gain wide open and forget it! Any one who claims to know radios and then says it's ok to clip the limiter clearly doesn't have a clue. i dont clip the limiters in any of my my radios. from a 2995, 99V, Stryker 447 to a cobra 29. not to mention the countless other radios i have owned over the years and not one time has any one told me i sounded weak and meek!

those who think you have to remove parts in order to have that big radio sound are the very ones who cry that they cant talk on their base radio without the people next door screaming at them. while people like me talk all day long on their 2000 watt base setup ( a good friend runs over 5000 watts with people less than 100 feet from him and they never know he's on the air ) with the anttena less that 30 feet from the folks next door.

BLEED OVER IS NOT A SIGN OF POWER, IT IS THE MARK OF A POORLY TUNED RADIO!

 

I am a HAM as well and have to admit the only shame in being a licensed radio operator is the amount of radio police wannabees that I have to call my peers. I have SEVERAL radios worked on by Wolfman and family, and have sent ALL of my co-workers to his shop. WE ALL have been very satisfied with their work. OUR Lord Jesus was crucified in the name of mans law. God doesn't care about watts, ohms or the FCC. I have bought parts there as recent as last week. I do not have to wonder about what the lord thinks of Judging others. Its all in print in the BIBLE.
Before you start typing on that keyboard, think carefully about how it may effect a families livelihood. You would do so well as to develop such a rock solid reputation on the Entire eastern seaboard.

 

Wonderful words ! Couldn't have said it better myself. I see lots of ugly words on here, judgemental and otherwise and it breaks my heart. I agree, people do not think before they speak, type, about who they may be hurting, and certainly NOT thinking about all that God endured without a cross word or complaint. My husband and I are Wolfman's customers and will continue to be. You can't please everyone that's a fact, but some people aren't happy no matter what you do, what kind of product or work they receive...those are the ones I pray for the hardest. Well I'll tell ya. I have been to Wolfman Radio Shop many times. I had a issue with feedback after putting a amp in. They took their time and worked with me on it for a long time till we got it fixed. Everything I have got from them has been straight up no problems. They have always been nice and helpful every time I have been there. I hear others giving negative feedback. I don't understand why. I will admit some of the prices are a little high on some things but I found out they will work with you and try to help you out but it's like any other business. They cannot give their products and services away for free like several seem to think they should. It's a job sure there are other shops around but I live in Macon and they are at exit 164 on 85. That's a long way from me but if i need something I will go there rather than the shade trees because they know what they are doing. Just saying.

I am a christian and i do not have to tell everyone that i meet.with that being said,i would not trust a shop that is ALWAYS breaking on channel 19 and talking christian this/God Bless that and is ALWAYS on the radio fishing for business.ALWAYS.in fact,channel 19 in the area of I85 North is constantly being bombarded by wolfman's advertising. something doesn't add up.IF they are that good,give 19 a darn break and shut up.
