Ive got a 2012 KW T700. I'm running a Connex 3400 HP. I can talk as far as I want, I can't receive worth a crap. So, I know it's an issue with the antennas. Problem is they are mounted on the side of the cab. Without having to go to a cb shop and hear the guy ramble on about nothing, whats the best antenna I can pick up for this truck without having to mount another one on the back of the cab? I also have a Galaxy 44 I'm thinking about running again, putting the Connex in the back for a while.

Right now I'm running the Connex with the stock antennas (I know, I know lol).

Without wanting to change out the cable, i'd look for different antennas, is Taller feasible ?

for better service put 1 out back like on a pb 387/kw t2000 style mount with separate coax. That is going to be your only option with that fiberglass truck.

For what its worth, I have seen a perch type mount for either the T700 or the Cascadia (or both) that mounts where the single mirror mount connects to the door. Maybe that allows you to run the coax through an existing hole in the door?? That would eliminate one of the things you don't want to do. That should allow you to run virtually any antenna you want, probably up to 7'.
I think I'm going to be getting a truck real soon that has this same set up, so if anyone knows where to find this type of mount, please share. -
Here's the one for the Cascadia.
I don't think they have the coax attached in this picture, other pictures show the coax going though the door jamb.
