    Congrats on the ticket.

Both times I took mine they would not reveal the missed questions....they just told me if I passed or failed.

Wow, I just renewed my Advanced class a couple of months ago. I didn't realize that new ones aren't being issued any more. Guess I should just go ahead and get the Extra, now that the 20wpm bar is gone.

Congrats on passing, I agree you should have given the general a shot, never know.

I passed my General Radio License first back in the early 80's, then went after my armature, A guy named Gary Belda, and Terry adam fellow Motorola Techs got me interest and mentored and coached. Its tons easier now, kind wish they would have kept the code for extra class.

Merry Christams have a safe and QRM free new year.

This is a great site to take practice tests online and see your grade right away... http://aa9pw.com/

I got my Amateur Extra license 4 years ago, simply by taking the test over and over and over again for 1 1/2 weeks, and I didn't understand the questions let alone the answers, but still passed anyway by repeatedly taking the test online for week and a half.

The Amateur Extra exam is 500 times tougher than the General test.

I'm working on getting my Tech ticket right now. I'm planning on taking the test at the Hamfest in Rochester on June 6th. I might have to get the General license manual and go for that too.....:)

The nice thing about the system now is that you can take the test anywhere there are walkins welcomed. I took my tech test in the napa valley area, then my general was in Washington DC area and then my extra was 100 miles north of my cabin Christmas eve on a snowy night. All memorable events.

AirbusThe Technician Test is very easy. General is about the same. With me being a VE for 6 years I don't agree with the Extra being 500 times harder. But that's another story. When you can pass the practice test better than 85% every time you should be able to pass. And it will cost you the same price of $15 or less to take both the Tech & General. We do have a VE team in your area and the cost is FREE! Here is another online test site to try.

I have a friend that has an HT I can buy from him. I'm still trying to figure out how to set up a radio in the truck. The company won't let us run anything directly off the battery so I'm limited to lighter plugs or the terminals on top of the dash that some have said are rated and fuse for 10 amps, but a Freightliner tech told me today running more than 5 amps through those can cause problems. He showed me the fuse in the block and it's a 10 amp. The thing is my CB and my Sirius radio are on the same circuit that the ham rig will be on.....
