    Like Mike suggested,
    I would get the antenna situation corrected before doing anything to the radio.
    If it has the factory antennas they would be the first to go.

    Run a single coax to a good antenna. You don't have to spend much.
    A Wilson 2000 or a Francis 5.5 would be a good start.

    Not to take away from this conversation but anybody else driving the KW t680 running a bigger radio then a cobra 29 if so where do you have it mounted and how????? Also a picture with your description would be awesome
